Located on the traffic circle in Old Town Orange, Felix Continental Café has been serving Cuban and Spanish cuisine since the late 1970s. The dining room is fairly small, but there is also outdoor seating on their sidewalk patio. NOTE that parking is always a challenge in Old Town Orange, so you should allow yourself extra time to find parking in one of the public lots or along the street. My family ordered a couple orders each of Steak ala Cubana (marinated New York steak garnished with green onion, garlic and red pimiento) and Roasted Chicken Cubano (half a chicken roasted in garlic, lemon and herbs). I opted for Ropa Vieja â literally âold clothesâ in Spanish â which is shredded beef slow-cooked in sauce and is considered one of the national dishes of Cuba. All our entrees came with a choice of soup or salad, fresh warm bread, black beans and rice, fried plantains and dessert.Dessert was a choice of rice pudding, Tres Leches cake or bread pudding. The consensus was that the cake was the best choice, with the bread pudding (which has pineapple, raisins and rum sauce) a close second. The food was flavorful and satisfying, and the service we received was cordial and efficient. Although the food was a bit on the pricey side, it was not out of line for the Old Town Orange area. Besides, the portions were very generous. Even though Iâve lived in the Orange County area nearly 60 years, this was my first visit to Felix Continental Café. I doubt that it will be my last.

Located in a shopping center across from In-N-Out, Taco Mesa has quality food--non GMO--including fresh ingredients like guacamole for a tasty appetizer. But their margaritas are tied for the best I've ever had, and are reasonably priced. Not fancy ambience--just good, quality Mexican food. Great salsa bar. The staff are very friendly, and on Friday nights expect a line to order. One of the few restaurants I ever give an "Excellent" to.

Stopped here today and ordered from a very reasonable priced lunch menu. The food was ok. Not the best but far from bad. I don't plan on returning. They offer a good spread and variety of food. The building is really fun and colorful. It's not bad and if you like seafood I would give it 4 stars. But regular Mexican dishes 3 stars.

One of the best Mexican food places I have been to. It is an authentic style Mexican food restaurant. Everything I have had at Taco Jalisco has been really good. The value is amazing, large plates of food under $10.00 I highly recommend this place. It is a little hard to find because you can't see it from the street (Tustin Ave.) because it is located behind a Taco Bell. Please skip the Taco Bell and try Taco Jalisco, you will get way better food for about the same price. Its not a very fancy place but the service is fast and good.
