Great local restaurant with fresh produce and a local atmosphere. Had lunch here for a week between work shifts. The food is great and everyday there are different options. U feel at home. Nothing fancy just great basque food fit for lunch. Go with someone who speaks basque or spanish.
Sitio tranquilo, apartado del centro del pueblo. Comida sencilla pero de buena calidad. Platos combinados, bocadillos...Trato agradable. relacion calidad precio muy buena
I went there three times, to eat something quite fast: bocadillo ('sandwhices') filled with tortilla, peppers (pimientos), papas fritas (fried chips with traditional spicy sauce). Very good, warm and cheap. Fast service. You can also have bigger meals (combos, dishes) or you can have wine/beer and a pintxo (small bocadillo) at the bar.

Always crowed, but waitresses are always smiling and making their best effort to attend all the tables and people fast and properly. Typical Spanish restaurant with a three-time lunch. Abundant meal portions. Different menu each day. Right place for a lunch pause.

Restaurant was packed with locals. Generous portions. We had the combination plates (eggs, lomo, potatoes) that ran about 9 euros each. There was also a menu for 10 that included wine and bread. All in all, a good experience.

I was in Onati for business and spent a few nights at the bar. Onati is a difficult place to be when you don't speak Basque, but the the family who run the Bar Galicia were extremely friendly to my wife and I, they spoke little English but made our experience special and we left feeling like one of the locals. Thank you to the family for helping us when we needed it. The local food was excellent and the father showed us a lot of his carving skills, especially with his preparation of the local ham on the bone. Very welcoming and worth a visit if you are in Onati!

Very pleasant servers but ultimately poor-average food made for a disappointing dinner experience at Iturritxo. We asked to be seated outside and were given a table almost immediately. We opted to select from the Menu del Noche which at â¬15 per person represented great value for money for a starter, main and dessert with wine!My black pasta with seafood was very creamy and not terribly interesting. My friends both had the same battered and fried cheese & vegetable plates. They had the meatballs for main and I had the fish (cod). My cod was the only item which was good. The meatballs were awful. They were given a full bottle of red to share while I was presented with an enormous glass of white wine - a Rueda I think. For dessert, I had some vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce (both of which tasted synthetic) while the guys had a creme catalan (good), and a vanilla creme in a puff pastry sandwich.Service was very pleasant. However inexpensive our dinner might have been, this was not a good meal.

There is a large dining room with panoramic windows overlooking the valley. We were at a conference dinner for 150! For us there were too many courses but each one was prepared to perfection. Squash soup, Fois gras, a salad with a lobster claw, grilled shrimp, baked hake with tomato vinaigrette, beef tenderloin, dessert. One course at time. The fish was perfectly cooked and moist. The beef was rare and it was among the best tasting pieces of beef that I have ever eaten (although we were pretty full by then).
