We have been visiting Andalucia for over six years now and this is definitely one of our favourite restaurants. The place is typically Spanish, not the least bit pretentious, and serves some of the best home-cooked tapas the we have ever had. The service is always friendly and attentive. My particular favourite is Conejo en Salsa (Rabbit in sauce), which is only available in season, whilst my wife always has Merluza (Hake), which she swears is the best that she has ever had. For tapa the portions are generous, whilst the prices are excellent. A little Spanish is definitely helpful, as it is in most of Olvera, but that just adds to the authentic flavour of the evening.

We have visited a few times....for coffee, cañas, lunch and brekkie.The service is fine... and our food (montaditos & mollletes) has been okay. We have not tried "menu" as it seems a tad pricey.Not much atmosphere and blaring TV.... but this is España!

Six of us stopped for lunch today and happened to stumble into Bar Pimentel. We had a wonderful meal of 3 plates of seafood and pork and about 10 drinks. Prices were very good and the food was wonderful. Very friendly family bar too.

Great tapas and fantastic wine. We shared 5 dishes and drank 3 glasses of lovely red wine each. The entire bill was 25 euros! The owner is very friendly, the restaurant is smart, small and cosy with a nice atmosphere.

Juan and Pepi have relocated their operation from the previously popular El Patio on Calle Llana, to the main town square.Serving from morning until night, you are sure to get a warm welcome here. Serving breakfasts, tapas and a great value menu del dia.A good mix of locals and tourists and a range of ages makes for a good atmosphere.

Méson Restaurante Los Lirios offers fantastic food and the staff is very friendly. Try the ensalada cogollos, the anchoas are amazing and not salty at all. The dressing is a dream and contains tiny pieces of walnuts.The little mussels are to die for.Top fresh food !Prices very reasonable!

Our hosts in Olvera recommended this and we could see why - excellent tapas, very reasonable prices, in a lovely atmosphere and with a super-friendly owner. We had a drink first in the evening sunshine on the pavement outside (great views out over the campo), then moved indoors for the serious business. We worked our way through a range of really tasty tapas - artichokes, with and without anchovies, baby broad beans (without ham, for me), quails eggs on mini-toasts, grilled mushrooms with crisp lettuce leaves and garlic mayonnaise, and black pudding. Together with a beer and five glasses of wine that lot set us back back to the tune of â¬24 - stunningly good value. Strongly recommended.

Another visit to my favourite restaurant in Olvera. As usual the quality of the food and service was perfect. I started with spinach and chickpea stew followed by Ensaladilla Rusa and then Presa Ibérica all washed down with a lovely red from La Mancha.

Very reasonable prices and a superb selection on offer. Couldn't fault any of the choices we had over several visits. Gets very busy with locals, especially at weekends, but this adds to the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you're visiting Olvera.
