Walled patio garden restaurant in old town Marbella
Having read the good reviews on TripAdvisor, we reserved a table at this always busy restaurant, at the lovely picturesque orange square, we where seated at the patio under the huge fig tree , the ambiance was nice , the singing staff where good , a very nice atmosphere, we decided to try the Cordero paella (lamb) , which we never tried before, it was not that good , I would prefer the marisco , canât really judge the food for the first visit , the service was good and friendly, I would like to try it again , itâs a nice place to spend an evening

As soon as you enter this restaurant you can fell the passion and creativity in the paintings on the walls and the plates delicatelly and beautifully decorated. Its Mediterranean, Spanish and International food will surprise and satisfy you. The exclusive
Requested a balcony table when making reservation (well in advance), and was allocated one which was great. Fantastic view over the square. Meal was amazing, my wife had the mixed fish and seafood. The presentation was very impressive and fish delicious. Service was excellent, very attentive. Would highly recommend.

Cuisine-Tapas Restaurant Restaurant El Salon, located a short walk from the lighthouse from Marbella offers wide range of tapas and main options.Al tapas and dishes fresh done and elaborated, unic flavours, homemade cakes. I would strongly recomend to come
Me and my friends really enjoyed the food here it was delicious, however the sizes of the dishes were not what we expected. We ordered 2 dishes we were advised were to share but were frankly no bigger than the tapas we ordered (the side of vegetables consisted of 2 carrot sticks). When we came to pay we also found that weâd been charged for bread that had been brought to the table without us ordering with no suggestion that we would have to pay for it. We had really enjoyed our dinner but were just disappointed to be charged â¬45 for 3 very small dishes and 3 small glasses of wine. Dear customerFirst at all I have to say you are missing information because you never mention that one of the dishes to share you order was a Sea bass boneless with mashed patato and vegetables and the vegetables is not the main food from the dish is just as a garnished or to give color to the dish. The main product are 2 filets of sea bass with no Boâness for only 13,50⬠witch on my opinion is the chepeast fish in Marbella. Secon dish was a portion of prowns pil pil with a side of fries for 12,50. And as well you had a portion bravas, 3 glasses of white wine not small glasses as you mention because we do from a bottle 5 glasses of wine and you had 3 of them and a bottle of water. Of course as we are restaurant we did warm bred with garlic maioness and we charge for it. You should know when you go to restaurant the bead is a service nobody ask you if you want or not. From now on maybe I will do it just to avoid the problems with People like you. And the bill was not 45 was I think 42,30⬠. And of course I would never say 2 dishes and a tapa would be enough for 3 people. And the price you paid here just a little bit less you pay in Burger King with artificiales drinks, frozen fries and a burger witch I would never have. I would recommend you to reconsider your review or if you donât have at least 20⬠each donât go to a restaurant.

We walked past this place and it looked so good we stopped for more. In a city of meat, we found a couple of veggie options on the menu and were delighted! Scrumptious! Lovely atmosphere too, in a quiet but beautiful little street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!

.This is a lorry drivers' caff. It serves mainly the drivers from the quarries just up the road, and other workmen. This has two consequences.Firstly, the servings are pretty big, seeking to satisfy the hunger of men involved in hard physical work. And secondly a table of three ladies is not a common sight! To get there you take the road out of Marbella past the La Canada shopping centre, up towards Ojen. You go past Ojen, then past the turn off to the Refugio de Juanar (unless you are taking up my suggestion for the lovely walk first - see below), and then it's along on the left in a pine forest.Have been here several times, on the way back from the lovely walk along the Juanar valley. To do the walk, you take the turning to the Refugio de Juanar (very well signposted on the left, coming from Marbella), drive past the Refugio itself until the very end of the road. Park where you can and walk through the metal gates. Then just keep walking for 1.5 km, through a pine forest, an olive grove, a beautiful open valley in the hills, until you come to the look-out point at the very end of the track, with its view down to Marbella and, on a clear day, over to Gibraltar and even North Africa. Totally traffic free, along a wide track, with just the sound of the birds. Delightful! One of the best walks ever. Then the same walk back, with a different perspective of the glorious countryside, get into the car and head for the Venta Pula for the best value meal you'll ever eat.The Venta Pula is set among pine trees with a large car/lorry park, right next to the picnic area for the forest. There's a crowded bar, a large dining room, and an outside terrace where a flock of hens were pecking at the bread that we dropped for them.Don't panic when they show you the menu. No, there are no prices marked. It's a three-course set-price menu. You'll be able to afford it, i promise you! When we were there last week the menu was the following:1st course - a choice of: Gazpacho, Savoury rice, Pasta in tomato sauce, or Mixed salad with goat's cheese. By the time you've eaten all this you'll feel pretty full, but there's more to come!2nd course - chicken and chips, fried mixed fish with vegetables, spicy chorizo sausages with potatoes, or eggs and chips.Puds - rice pudding (Spanish style - cold with a sprinkling of cinnamon), or creme caramel, or custard. All home made.A large bread roll and a drink (bottled water, beer, can soft drink or large glass of wine) were included in the price. The price? Oh, didn't i mention it?For all that - just 8 euros. â¬8. :-).

In a natural viewing-point of the Villa of Ojén, at incomparable frame of the Sierra de las Nieves, to only 5 minutes far from Marbella, you can find El Fogón de Flore. Sorrounding the Valley that leads to the Mediterranean Sea, and with the picturesque l
We wanted to visit Ojén, a nice white town built over a hill. The restaurant is very well placed, the tables and seats just ok, and the staff is competent and nice. But the food is so so. The salad was weak and scarce; the aubergine au gratin was very expensive and we did not like it very much. Finally, neither the veal strogonoff nor the pork loin with Malaga wine were satisfactory. The strogonoff was far from a real one, and the other recipe was 'escalopines al vino de malaga', but that should translate in thin slices of meat, and that was not the case.Forgetable and not cheapThank you very much for bothering to give your opinion, prices are posted on the internet, there is a letter on the door of the restaurant, and then I gave it to him, I do not think he would surprise you. Regarding the dishes, each opinion is accepted and the tastes are particular, but aubergines that carry a béchamel with pink (9,50 ⬠the Kg), prawns, and cheese, being one of the most elaborate dishes, for 15 ⬠, is certainly not Mc donald, but surely in his country is much more expensive. And with the scallops, nothing to say, it is one of the most requested dishes, but what is said for tastes, ..... And pir last that you find it expensive to eat in a restaurant for ⬠22 each, ... nothing more to say. Next time I stay in Marbella, it's cheaper.

To relax, laugh and have a good time. To eat and drink in good company. To share some tapas with friends or to enjoy a romantic meal with your loved one. An oasis away from the bustle of the coast, but only a minute from the La Cañada shopping mall. Come
Very high ratings on Trip Advisor are totally deserved. We had an unusual request....birthday lunch for 16. We ordered a birthday cake and flowers as well as the usual stuff.Joy (who communicated with us to plan details by email) was excellent - both responsive and flexible on menu. So that was ahead of actual visit.Visit itself was excellent - the wait staff were friendly and efficient, the chef? (Dutch gentleman) was very friendly also. And the food was very good - particularly the starters ....beef carpaccio and goats cheese salad were both top notch. Finally the atmosphere is nice also with inside and outside spaces (outside under shade).A really good experience overall. Would highly recommend for special events but also weâd recommend visit for a more âstandardâ type lunch or dinner. Food and service Iâm sure would be same high quality.First of all many thanks for choosing Cascada Cocina & Bar to celebrate this very special occasion. Great to hear that you have had such a great time and that you enjoyed the setting as well as the service and the food so much. Reviews like this are very rewarding and motivate us to keep going. We hope we can be a witness of many more birthdays to come for your lovely mum! We cannot wait to welcoming you back again.

If you are holidaying in Marbs and fancy getting away from the touristy places in search of a much more authentic Spanish vibe, then head to the hills and the quaint white-walled town of Ojen, where you will find this nice haven awaiting you at the end of a 20-minute car journey.Although there are some outside tables adjacent to the sloping road (if you park your car some distance away, be ready to do some strenuous uphill walking which can be tough on legs and heart!), as we were booked for 21.30, we opted to dine inside.Wooden tables and chairs, with books stacked on shelves, added to the cosy ambience. It was nice and encouraging to see a couple of large groups of Spanish families - three generations in both cases - eating and enjoying themselves at nearby tables. We noticed that one group of 8 shared 5 pizzas between them - a real family spirit about the place. The waiter spoke good English, while both he and his young female colleague were as warm and friendly as our pil pil prawns starter. For mains, we had fillet of veal and Iberian pork.An atmospheric, value for money (cheapest meal of our two-week holiday) experience in a lovely setting.
