Reviews on Spanish food in Newhall, California, United States. Newhall is the southernmost and oldest community of Santa Clarita, California. Prior to the 1987 consolidation of Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, and other neighboring communities into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated area. It was the first permanent town in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Hidden Havana Cafe is a neighborhood gem. Comfortable, informal, inexpensive, and with very friendly owners and servers. You can't beat the price for very good Cuban food. But, the menu choices are limited and so are the hours.More like dining in someone's den, with an informal bar and a loud, big-screen TV, than a fancy restaurant. But, clean and very comfortable; and. you're treated like family.

Excellent and inexpensive Mexican restaurant with big portions and cheap price and very friendly service. Also very delicioous, had a big breakfast burrito. The Ceasar salad was not so good but the burrito was excellent. However, the Air conditioner could be fixed. However I would go back , excellent restaurant.

This little gem opened recently and is SO good. Fresh and organic ingredients bring delicious flavor to familiar Mexican dishes. Beer and wine for now, hopefully they will get a full liquor license. But in the meantime they have a good beer and wine selection and are making some fun variations on Micheladas and wine based cocktails. The food is great. My husband and I had the salsa and guacamole with chips appetizer. All the salsas and the guacamole were tasty and chips were fresh. We tried the two taco combos - my favorite was the short rib taco. But the steak, pork and shrimp tacos were all delicious too. The cilantro rice was really good too. The prices are great, especially when you consider the very high quality of the ingredients. We paid less here than at other traditional Mexican restaurants in the area for much better food! I highly recommend this place. They also have a great story - read about the owner and his family on their website. Also, they are doing breakfast/brunch on Saturdays and Sundays only for now. But a great mix of Mexican breakfast dishes along with the standard favorites - pancakes, etc.Thank You Cherelle for your review and feedback. We appreciate your business and looking forward to you joining us again soon. :)

My wife and I went to the Trocadero for lunch while on a Sunday afternoon outing. I had heard great things about the Trocadero and had high expectations. We both found it very average. There was nothing that we experienced that would make us look to come again - not that it was bad, just that it wasn't memorable.
