This restaurant was recommended by a friend. It had a 20 minute wait, but we waited no more than 10 minutes before being seated. The chips and dips are amazing and our food was delicious. We couldn't believe how quickly everything was served. We will definitely be coming back each time I head down to visit my daughter!

My wife and I had the 3 plate, bottle of wine and dessert special for 40 bucks. Food was excellent and staff was great. It's a nice atmosphere in what appears to be a revitalizing downtown Lynchburg. Give this place a try if you are in town.

When we are at the hospital or Drs offices and are finished during lunch we always check out La Carreta. The staff is always friendly and nice and are sympathetic to my Spanish vocabulary. Their is a great selection for lunch and if u want, u can order something from the regular menu. My wife and I have had many entrees and were never disappointed. They keep the drinks, chips and salsa filled to a sated state. My favorites are the tamales, relinos and pork. The prices are very reasonable and you will never leave hungry; u may take some home with u. Also try the tomatillo salsa, it's a little spicy. Can't wait for my next visit.
