Dante was our outstanding host/server. He spoke English and helped make our dining experience even more enjoyable. My husband ordered the Mahi-Mahi and I ordered the Red Snapper Filet. We both ordered our fish blackened. When served, the presentation was both professional and appetizing to the eye. The meal was delectable and the service was impeccable! Ivan, the owner, was hands on helping as the restaurant was extremely busy. Before our departure Dante shared a tasty Puerto Rican remedy to help with our overindulgence and paid tribute to us and our home state of Indiana. Pura Vida is a must do. We will be frequent guests. Saludo!

Bocatas is a quaint haven full of intimacy, but with the heart of the proverbial Quixotal giant. It embodies the European continental Taverna vibe, with its generous assorrment of Tapas, wine, and desert, but fuzed with the freshest seafood, and tropical delicacies from Borinquen. Great food is only surpassed by the greater service, and personalized touchas from the owner, who welcomes patrons at the door. Onvarious nights, you may enjoy entertainment from either soothing piano, Spanish guitarist, or on special occasions such as New Year's day, be serenaded by a folkloric songs legends like Mr. Antonio Cabán Vale, "El Topo".Bocata is a must, if you are traveling near Humacao at the eastern shore of the Island.

Carribean Cuisine and seafood. It is close to Palmas Del Mar
Went twice this trip. food is good. atmosphere is simple. First trip was excellent . Second trip we were overcharged significantly which we didn't appreciate we will be back. But not this trip. Disappointed that some people are dishonest. Ask for prices up front as they have no menu.
We specialize in Puerto Rican cuisine.
Recently tried the fricase and was great. Clean and prompt service. Great prices. Music available on weekends. Will definitely come back.
What to do and see in Humacao, Puerto Rico: The Best Places and Tips
This small informal restaurant is an "eat-and-go" style. They sell really delicious, fried meat and seafood turnovers (pastelillos) and arepas; all homemade by its owner. It is a local place to have a few beers or drinks and eat these fritters. Friendly service too. Be warned their is no a/c.
