the service was good but the tapas we had as starters were not great - garlic mushrooms were overwhelmingly garlic and clearly tinned. The calamari was obviously frozen and bought in already battered etc. The mains of octopus was nicely cooked but utterly bland - literally no seasoning. The other main as a special " pizza" which was terrible - 2 flat breads with small amount of ground beef in it ! basically an open wrap - barely any filling and tasteless Foot ball blaring out over the dinner tables and NO ONE was watching it ( an England game) . Ok for pre dinner drinks but a no go as restaurant

Well our first time and our lastTapas and Mexican food- starters were mozzarella balls, some weird garlic prawn dish and squid rings- clearly it had all been bought in frozen and hate to say it there were not even cooked properly as the batter was under done! All very basic- next time got to Iceland far better plus garlic dish was unpleasant in green thick soupy sauceMains beef burrito- looked good but average taste and blandShrimp fajitas- so few shrimp- really basic

Dear Chicha team, my sincere congratulations to your outstanding cuisine and service! We had the pleasure to visit your place twice during our few days in El Gouna. And it was not by chance that we repeated our visit to the "Chicha".We tried out 3 other recommended restaurants during our stay, which were ok. But the Chicha was outstanding. I have been to Peru several times. In my last visit I had the pleasure to dine in one of the restaurants of Mr. Gaston Acuria, a renowned star maître of Latin Food (Peru is called the kitchen of Latin America). By chance his restaurants have the same name - Chicha - and was one reason why we were curious to try the one in El Gouna.
