You cannot go wrong with the gruyere chicken sandwich. Or with their sauce. There is a reason people always mention it. Amazing, both on chicken and rice. However, it is crazy busy during prime lunch hours. Go later if you can.

Still not my favorite location (Annapolis, I miss you!!) , but it's ok.Little bit of a rocky start: We were greeted by a clueless hostess who didn't seem to know that part of her job was to provide us with menus and show us to our tables. My boyfriend has to ask her to give them to us. (HUH?)I checked out the menu before I arrived to see if it was the same as the other two locations I'd been to, and was tempted with an order of free guac if I signed to up receive their emails. It was the most delicious decision I made all day! That was some of the best guacamole I've had in a good long time. Big chunks of fresh avocado and flavorful add ins...mmmm. The guac was served with a mix of fried yuca slices, fried plantain slices and tortilla chips. The fried root vegetable slices are one of my favorite things about Paladar. I'm so glad my boyfriend doesn't like guac... that meant that it was mine, all mine! (MUAHAHAHAHAHA!) And it was really big "small" order too... I almost didn't have room for dinner, and I was VERY hungry when I arrived. Boyfriend got the Spicy Queso Fundido for his appetizer, and never have I seen a man so happy to see chorizo (we don't eat pork in our house). I flicked away the sausage chunks and tried a little of it. It wasn't as good as my guac, but of course that's a TOTALLY biased opinion.I had the Diplimatico Sidecar. Pretty good cocktail. Not as good as my beloved banana colada though (not sure if that is only available at the Annapolis location or of they've discontinued it altogether. Either way, I miss it).For dinner, boyfriend ordered the brisket burger. We had to ask for steak sauce, because despite all the stuff piled on it, it still lacked flavor. A nice smoky/sweet sauce would make the burger amazing. I ordered the churrasco skirt steak. The pinto beans that came with it were... interesting. I appreciated the chef's attempt to add a level of depth and complexity to the side dish by adding a dash or two of cinnamon, but it just tasted... random and kinda weird. The rice was soft and almost mushy. Tasted like some boxed Goya yellow rice. My steak was not nearly as large as the other skirt steaks I saw coming out of the kitchen, and it didn't taste as good as it looked. Even the chimmichuri couldn't help it. It tasted like little more than a grilled hunk of meat. No flavor. A little seasoning before grilling would've gone a long way.

Family outing. Some of us had been here before. For us, our first visit. And my spouse isnât wild about Tex-Mex. But what a pleasant surprise. An extensive menu with dinners running between $15. and $25. The scallops, shrimp and lobster dinners are recommended. Two of our party ( including my spouse ) had the steak carne and both enjoyed it. I ordered the chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, onions, sour cream and guacamole. Lots of chicken stuffed into a wrap. It was excellent and so big I couldnât finish it. Others in our party had other dinners. Each was brought out hot from the oven and each was presented attractively. In all dinner for six ran about $165 for a group of six. And we would certainly return.

Enjoy lunch, dinner and happy hour. Book your business, family or special event and enjoy the charm of The Row at Rockville Town Square while dining at La Tasca. Take the Red Line to Rockville Station.
It's dusk outside, the lights of the plaza begin to twinkle, exotic aromas float from the surrounding tables, glasses clink and the sound of folks having a good time fills the air. This could Madrid or Barcelona, rather than the lovely pedestrian plaza in Rockville, MD. Our table of four feasted on a wonderful assortment of tapas. The waiter had suggested we choose 2-3 small plates per person. Lamb Meatball, Angus Steak, Octopus, Chicken Croquettes, Grilled Chorizo, Fried Eggplant, Scallops, Asparagus and Casero Bread filled the table. Each dish was a different taste sensation and thoroughly satisfying. Two plates for each of us to share amongst our table was more than enough to fill us. The dessert sampler is a must! Dining outside was reminiscent of an evening on the Plaza Mayor in Madrid.

Small plates restaurant and bar located in the King Farm neighborhood of Rockville, Maryland.
Had a very nice dinner at Botanero. I donât usually like tapas because you order lots of dishes & never seem to have enough to eat. This was different, the portions were more generous. Especially liked the chicken drumsticks, sizzling shrimp and short ribs. Creme brûlée was very good. Also felt it was reasonably priced.

Our first restaurant, La Flor de La Canela, opened its doors in 1997. Having been one of the first Peruvian restaurants in the area, our loyal customers have continued to follow us to our new locations. The food we offered was a combination of authentic P
A lot of the restaurants in downtown Rockville have had trouble making it. There's a constant parade of musical chairs. But La Canela is one of the old standbys that have stayed in place for decades. And no wonder. First, it's quiet enough so that a group of five seated at a 5' circular table could easily hear each other. Second, the waiters are delightful and service-oriented. The drinks and food menus are full of unusual and delicious options (a half page of ceviche options!). And the food itself was divine. We got two trout specials that were simply fantastic: simple, not the least bit greasy, and yet wonderfully spiced. Another at our table got a beef with pasta dish that had just a hint of heat. And my stepdaughter LOVED her squash soup. A total winner.
