We chose this restaurant for our one-night stay in Albacete on our way to Alicante. On 8.30 pm the restaurant was empty and we were the only guests (i guess +39c temperature was the reason). The host was very attentive, guided us through the menu and entertained our children all throughout the evening. The food was of good quality - I can't say we were overly impressed, but in the meantime there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The queso de cabre entrante was our top pick, and arroz senoret was also very good. We got good recommendation for a bottle of local wine. All in all, this is not a kind of dining experience you'll remember for ages, however it was definitely a very pleasant evening

Haciendo la etapa Higueruela-Chinchilla, me quede a dormir en este hostal. Habitación con baño, 25 euros. Seguramente necesitarÃa una buena remodelación, al menos el baño, el wc, la tapa estaba rota, la cisterna hacÃa un ruido terrible. Las paradas finas, se oÃa practicamente todo.Por la noche me tome una tapa de moje+1 vino, a 4 euros. El personal amable.

The owner is charming and the food and also hotel is very fair. The food is excellent. Maybe on a bad day, but one staff member was a touch agressive. Other than this, cannot be faulted for what is a roadside restaurant but great food.

Primera vez que paramos y, yendo con familia, es recomendable. Amplio y con juegos para niños y todo tipo de tronas para bebéŠo cambiador (muchos restaurantes más glaurosos, carecen de estas cosas, que las superpongo a cualquier otra cosa). Menú aceptable (13â¬/barba) y amplia carta manchega. Camareros atentos y simpáticos. Ahora bien, las chueletas de cordero me da que estaban recalentadas de sepa Dios. Se echa en falta algo máŠde limpieza en la sala, pues las repisas de las ventanas parecen un cementerio de moscas. Luego tienen una buena tienda de productos locales, dignos de llevar.

One of the problems in Spain is finding somewhere decent to eat when travelling on the motorways. This roadhouse is just off the free motorway some 280km south east of Madrid and offers an excellent place to stop for lunch or dinner. Lunch is served from 1pm to about 4pm and the excellent menu del dia costs â¬10. Included is a starter (I recommend the Sopa de Cocido), a main course (the Chuleton de Cerdo [essentially a large UK style pork chop with the rind still on it] is huge) and a pudding. Coffee and a beer or wine are also included.I travel frequently between Albacete and the Costa Blanca and always try to stop here for lunch as the ambience and food are excellent. Service is fast, but once you have eaten you are left in peace. In addition there is a decent butcher's shop on the premises - the hams and sausages are out of this world!Parking is easy. Follow the signs for Villar de Chinchilla and if coming from Madrid, you pass through the village before getting to it. The toilets are spotless, but there is no wifi. In addition, dogs have to be left outside. This is fine in winter, but in summer the sun is very strong. There are some covered parking places and additional ones at the back left of the restaurant, but even so leave the windows ajar and make sure your dog has a bowl of water if stopping here in the summer months. If the heat is really bad, consider putting your dog on a lead and close the other end in the car door, so the dog can lie in the shade under the car. There is always (well nearly always) a cool breeze blowing.

Es un lugar sencillo, donde sirven tapas muy buenas y bien cocinadas. El servicio es un poco lento, pero son muy amables. Es un sitio muy agradable y de tapeo se come/cena fenomenal. Suelen tener cerveza sin gluten, aunque no tienen pan sin gluten.

Volviendo de Alicante, miramos en esta página y vimos los comentarios de este restaurante.Para nada decepciona, muy buen menú, buen trato y buen precio. Para repetir cuando nos pille de camino. Una pena que se hubiese acabado la loterÃa de navidad. A lo mejor vuelvo a por ella!

Llegamos a las 15:00 y, como la cocinera ya se ha ido, no pueden ofrecernos el menú del dÃa. En su lugar tomamos "puchero" (cazuela de lentejas con chorizo: 5 â¬), un plato combinado (lomo de cerdo con huevo frito y ensaladilla rusa: 4,50 â¬) y bebida (agua grande y refresco: 1,60 ⬠cada botella). Trato amable.

Paramos a comer y estirar las piernas a mitad de un viaje Madrid-Alicante. Tienen una buena carta, es un lugar agradable, tienen buenos precios y son gente maja. La carretera que te lleva al restaurante tiene muy buenas vistas al castillo de Chinchilla.

He visitado numerosas veces este restaurante y cada vez salgo más satisfecho. Es acogedor. Tiene un servicio difÃcil de superar. Nos atendió Juan con la profesionalidad y amabilidad que le caracteriza. Se Puede degustar comida de la zona, que está perfectamente elaborada. Regiones muy generosas. No dejéis de probar el rabo de cerdo, los torreznos, las migas y el chusmarro. Todo está genial. Menú 10,5⬠con bebida, pan y postre y ensalada, con múltiples posibilidades en el primro, segundo y postres. Es imposible no repetir una vez que lo conoces. Superrecomendable
