I was extremely pleased with the restaurant. The service was excellent, the quality of the ingredients are very good and the quantity you receive is awesome. The menu is quite diverse and I was even able to enjoy one of my favorites, fried green tomatoes!I would highly recommend!

It took 35 minutes to deliver our 3-year old son's pasta which we ordered first (if you have kids, you know why!). This was only a simple cooked macaroni with just a tomato sauce, which the restaurant served very, very overcooked and overpriced at 6 euros. After a total of 45 minutes wait, the staff finally asked if we were ready to order. By this time we had lost our appetite but decided to order anyway, upon which we were informed the kitchen was overloaded and it would take quite some time for the food to arrive - without any apology. May I add to this that not anywhere near all the tables were occupied. For the 1.5 hours we sat in the restaurant (being very hungry) we watched several other groups get up and leave without ordering, due to the long wait. When it came to the bill, the waitress watched me count every cent. My guess is that their experience has seen very many people leave without paying. I was certainly tempted.Avoid this restaurant and make your way down the hill where you will find some lovely restaurants, including a very nice pizzeria. Or pop across the road to the hostel for some a cold snack.Such a shame for such a lovely little town.

Restaurant Asador with a modern touch and respecting the classic, in Cercedilla, one of the most charming villages of the Sierra de Guadarrama. We have a large wood oven where we prepare the best meats from the mountains of the Community of Madrid. We als
As stated before by other visitors, the Bartender (and owner as well) showed himself not very co-operative: some of the staffers appear to disregard -to say the least- proper manners in what to hygiene concerns and when told about them he appeared not to feel concerned at all.Utterly disgusting...

Decided to try the Alacena after reading some very positive reviews on TA and it did live up to expectations. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The 3-course menu for â¬16 was made available to us on a Saturday night at 9pm. Food was creative and delicious, service friendly (which in my books is always a big brownie point in a touristy area where we clearly aren't locals). I am SO going back this summer.

We stayed with relatives in Cercedilla and they booked this restaurant for lunch. I was expecting a pleasant meal in a local restaurant but instead had a delicious meal in a small and unassuming place in the middle of this quiet village. Downstairs we had ice-cold beer with a complementary paella tapa and upstairs we enjoyed excellent Spanish cooking with some modern twists in some of the dishes, a great veal escalope for the kids (get 1 between 2!) and good recommendations from the waitress. All dishes are made from produce in season. Being 4 adults and 4 children, we were able to sample each other´s dishes and all were fabulous. We didn´t have dessert but the kids had ice cream. I am not a fan of ice-cream but even that was to die for. The bill came to 200⬠which for the quality I felt was very good. Highly recommended, looking forward to returning.

Very nice garden to dine, plenty of shade and cool. Produce from the pantry and trouts grown in house. The sound of the river... Amazing.I'm still surprise they only offer one trout dish. But really good meats, other fishes and starters. A jewell in the mountains.
