El Porton is probably one of the few restaurants in town that serves authentic Mexican food. It has the best refried beans in town! Very popular for the lunch crowd, close to Wesleyan University. We have always enjoyed good, fresh food here.

We stopped in for supper it was busy but not over crowded they handle it well.most people eat and leave.I had some different items . I ordered a chicken torta and a chicken sopa.they were very good.the torta was good size.Filling.My friends had tacos.very good.3 types of salsas.very good.we will return.
the food is good not great.its a little bland,the salsas help.i have had 6 different things on the menu,and they are kinda slow also.give it a try its good and not the average southwest fare.
