Sometimes you have a hunch about a restaurant from its outside appearance, and this time it proved correct. Owner Manuel settled in Biescas (from Columbia) four years ago, and December 1 he celebrated his first anniversary operating Taberna Forato. We ordered a Hamburger Rustica, Ensalata Forato, beer and wine. The olive oil had a quality deep green color, the hamburger was one of the best we've had in a long time (we liked that we heard a timer go off, indicating the care that was being taken with the preparation), and the salad fresh and tasty. While the wine pour was short, it is in line with the typical portion received in Spain (we've been spoiled by the generous pours in Portugal). We enjoyed watching Discovery Max on the big screen TV and making use of the free wi-fi while we waited for our meal to arrive. Definitely would return to this simple and friendly spot.

We ate there with our son. We have a large dinner, very tasty. The waiter was very attentive and we got fast service. The menu cart was simple but with ample choice. Very economical in a simple setting. Very Spanish. Recommeded

We booked a table at Pepe as it gets pretty busy during weekends. As we arrived early they were starting the restaurant service so everything was a bit slow. However, the salad and migas arrived quite fast. Tomato salad with ham and foie was pretty nice, and also the migas. Then we had sirloin and lamb. The lamb was dry and tough. The sirloin, even though I asked it to be medium-well done was blue. Presentation of dishes was correct. Service was too informal and looked like bothered, though they were correct at all times. Price is pretty high for the quality of the products. It would have probably been better not try it... Disappointing

Casa de Juan is a delightful restaurant, with authentic charm. It offers excellent food and a great variety of wines, and better yet, it has a very warm, relaxed and welcoming ambiance! My husband ordered the Entrecot and ordered Solomillo, both are specialties of the house. The meat was grilled to perfection and was incredibly tender and well seasoned. This was preceded by a very generous salad, because unfortunately the Migas con Huevo y Uvas that we were looking forward to trying and had been highly recommended to us was not available! A good reason for us to return:-)The service was impeccable and the prices relatively reasonable for an excellent culinary experience. If you ever are in Biescas, make sure that Casa de Juan is one of your meal destinations!

This is the restaurant located in the Hotel Terra de Biescas. Unfortunately itâs in the basement and has virtually no atmosphere, since they really know how to cook. We stayed in the hotel and ate three times in the restaurant, all very good, particularly fish. Put the chef and his team in a better location and it would be packed every night.

After trying other restaurants in Biescas we discovered this one. Despite its Dutch name and decor, the food has nothing to do with Dutch food. It is fresh, tasty and "honest". The owner Ricardo has an eye for detail and is very welcoming. His chef, Nika, is so humble but delivers the best food! We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had a typical Spanish meal where they served us a variety of dishes and we just ate. We were a big group and we had plenty of food. Great service at good price. Supper tasty food.

A seasonly restaurant when improve the better ingredients naturally and handmade cooked.
What a discovery - thanks TripAdvisor. We had lunch here twice although it involved a return journey of around an hour from our base. Everything about this restaurant is good. The food is certainly 1* Michelin standard - inventive, beautifully presented, everything fresh and tasty. The room is full of atmosphere and interest, remarkable since it is in a modern block in a nice but uninspired area. The service was excellent on both visits and prices represent amazing value for money. We will certainly be back.
