Visit here regularly and have had some delicious food served. They always serve warm garlic bread for an appetiser, itâs very tasty even more so if a little more garlicky. On this occasion we had Octopus, it was a starter but a large portion, and in my opinion would suite as a main dish.We also shared the Lamb which was incredibly tender and mouth watering.Definitely recommend this restaurant and for sure will return again.

Visited for the first time with some family who had been there before and was greeted like a long lost relative. Four of us sat there all night eating tapas and drinking cocktails.Had a fabulous time and when we left, caught a cab back to Estepona (good job because none of us was in a fit state to drive)Total cost for four of us ..100 euros!

The restaurant is nice and cosy, Mike is also a very happy and friendly. But we ordered a gastronomic menu â¬48 each, and are expecting a lot for a three course menu of this price. While ordering, at least one of the starters was not available and two of the main courses chosen were unavailable as well (Of which we were informed 5 minutes after ordering). The desert was not very special. When we choose our second second course (yes this is no typo) because of the unavailability, after 5 minutes an alternative course was presented. We did not dare to ask anymore wether our second second course als was not available. So at the end it was a bit of a embarrassed situation unfortunately, and disappointed for us at the end. An extra 'situation' was that another table was offered â¬26 for a two course menu (which wasn't on the menu card), and they were also presented with unavailable courses I hope (for this restaurant) this is a one time situation for. Because it isn't chaep, so I as a customer expect a real experience (and it was). Perhaps they could sell a surprise mene instead of a a la card menu, so they can make what's available, without getting disappointed.

First time to Benahavis in my life.We stayed at the Gran Hotel. After trying for lunch the most recommended restaurant in town which is Los Abanicos we decided to try a friends recommended Rufino restaurant.Have to say Benahavis is lovely and has the reputation as the Gastronomic Corner of the Costa del Sol so expect prices to be higher in restaurants here to others in La Costa del Sol,but they are also some of the best in La Costa del Sol.Rufino is no exception to the rule and they are just great. We could have not chosen a better restaurant for our dinner. The place is more tranquil than the busy restaurants just 50 metres away but the food is as good or better than the rest. The waiters are really friendly and really leave you time to decide and do not pressure you to order and do help if asked. The free sherry and mini starters when you sit are a great touch and the restaurant looks and feels very homely.Staff speak both Spanish and English and are always very attentive. We ordered the legs of lambs which were very big with a lot of sides These are highly recommended but beware that they are large and my wife could not manage to eat it.We also ordered the Iberian ham. Please not they will serve half portions of some plates but it is not mentioned on the menu, just have to ask.We finished off with 2 deserts and the waiter brings all the available deserts to the table for you to see, which is a lovely touch.deserts are â¬4 each and they are lovely. To finish of a free drink of your choice is offered another lovely gesture. Will return to this restaurant for sure.

Popped in for a coffee and decided to eat. My wife had an omelette which was ok and came with a piece of dry toast I had eggs Benedict the bacon was stone cold the eggs solid and the Hollandaise sauce was indescribable and nothing like Thought Iâd try a Pina Colada it was so sweet having god knows how much sugar in it and at 9 Euros expected betterMy wife had to ask for some butter for her toast which they bought a sealed single portion After complaining about the eggs etc I was surprised to find when the bill came they charge d us for the butter at 1euro Will not be going back Recommend Los Abinicos next door or Chicoâs the other side of them

Located in the heart of Benahavis, this restaurant is part of the gastronomic history of this lovely town nestled in the rolling countryside Guadalmina Valley, also known as the dining room of the Costa del Sol. Since his wanderings began back in the earl
Dined here for over 25 years and also at the owners cousin Rufinoâs around the corner, by far the best restaurants in the village with Rufinoâs slightly easier on the pocket. This place is that popular that it expands to take over the whole street in the high season and I see there are plenty of comments about slow service but if there are 300 plus people going a la carte and the food is fabulous there are bound to be the odd issues with service. But welcome to Spain and chill with the complimentary tapas whilst waiting for a fabulous feast. Suckling pig here is off the scale.

We visited this lovely Spanish restaurant 4 times on our holiday, tried other places and the just didnât compare. The food is all home cooked with a great vegetarian menu. Children loved the mixed Paella and yummy puddings, I can recommend the clams and apple pie.The staff are all lovely and friendly and service was great. We were kept entertained by owner Manolo who did magic tricks and animal impressions which my 6 yr old loved! On our last night he engraved a glass especially for her to take home. Always busy so I find its best to book in advance if you can.

Very welcoming restaurant with a nice atmosphere and an open flame grill where aged meat is cooked to perfection. You will also find great dishes from the sea side, a beautiful selection of wine and one of the best terrace in the heart of Benahavis.
Looked an interesting place for drinks sitting outside round barrels as tables and high stools.Ordered drinks but waitress not particularly friendly and the waiter as very off hand.Had only one drink as the diners were turning up to eat and we were forgotten about.

Tucked away in the Moorish mountain village of Benahavis is the Hotel Amanhavis. A small rustic, yet elegant world of great smiles, warm welcomes and refined service. A true Andalucian (experience) awaits you at Amanhavis. The true feeling of being far aw
We've been coming here for many years and have never been disappointed. The setting is wonderful; a small courtyard set around a small pool. The food was excellent as always, and it's a nice touch to have a personalised menu with your names on. Gerhard was as charming as ever, as were all the staff. There are many restaurants in Benahavis to choose from, but for a fine dining experience, Amanhavis is the place to go.
