Restaurante de montaña, platos tradicionales actualizados elaborados con cariño. Un lugar para desconectar y disfrutar.
Just wow!! What appears to be simple food, made into exquisite dishes! The Salmorejo was divine, the Timbal delicious and the Secreto Iberico a baja temperatura Iberian pork secret cooked at low temperature was tender and mouth watering, with a simple garnish of rosemary potatoes. The chicken with prunes, possibly not something I would choose at first glance of a menu didn't disappoint, really flavoursome and tender. Trying to take it easy on the desserts this summer, but the Pannacotta was amazing. Congratulations to the chef. Not only is the food incredible but the restaurant is really welcoming, it is small though so best to book to avoid disappointment. I will return, there are still things I need to try on the menu.

Located in the center of the small villa of Gessa, very near Baqueira Beret esqui ressort, Rufus, the esqui ticher and mountain lover, runs the undoubtedly most successful restaurant in the Valle de Aran.We have been going for the last 10 years and it had never disappointed us. Every year we esqui for one week in Baqueira and almost every night of the seven days we have dinner at a different restaurant. Most restaurants in The Valley have up and downs, one time it's very good, the next is super expensive or not as good as it was. This have never been the case with Rufus. Beginning with the telephone reservation, always attended by Rufus, himself, followed by the cosy and familiar atmosphere and the magnificent food that they served, the experience cannot be better. Fresh market products, red meats, fresh fish and a very carefull and well elaborated array of desserts, everything at a reasonable price, for The Valley, makes Casa Rufus a must when you are around.

There are three restaurants in the same building. Ticolet has very tasty yet a little bit overpriced food compared to other restaurants around. The portions are big and the service is nice. The Raclette restaurant is also quite nice with a lot of cheese that will definitely fill you up.The best of these three was the barbeque place where you grill your own food in a tablegrill. The meni includes wine and it was a bargain of 27e per person. The cutest thing is the old golden retriever welcoming everyone by the door.

What a place! Fine food, delicious wine, excellent and attentive service.I can't say how much I enjoyed a family meal here; typical Spanish style, dragged over hours and courses of home prepared food including pates, Olla Aranesa, and the most amazing cheesecake ever.Great wine.If you've read my other review at Banhs de Tredos you'll see that this trip was full of superlatives - simply an amazingly beautiful place to visit with top quality amenities. In true Arnie style "I'll be back"

Good food and wine list..regional food and more exotic! Wired relationship with sister restaurant downstairs with similar menu. Can't help but think they should have made one the 'regional menu' restaurant and the other = pinotage ,' the Zimbabwe/South African influence venue. Very good but not outstanding

Modern cuisine and homemade pizzas
Centrally located but tucked away off the main road, La Granja is worth the effort to find. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and the menu is varied, including everything from pizzas (their speciality) to duck to beef cheeks to burgers and a selection of regional dishes. There is something for everyone. The restaurant is family owned and patrons are treated like visiting relatives, with great care and attentiveness. They donât take reservations but during a holiday week, we arrived at 8pm, when they opened, and were immediately seated. Thanks Kevin for choosing La Granja for your meals. It was a pleasure to have you in our house. Hope to see you back soon.

South African fusion restaurant with specialist premium gin cocktails situated in the heart of the Aran Valley and close to the famous Baqueira-Beret ski resort. More than 100 wines in our cellar.
We have eaten in most of the restuarants in Arties and this one particulary stands out. Firstly the restuarant is really nicely decorated, interesting paintings on the wall and the decor itself is very cosy and welcoming, which i guess is even better in midwinter! The food is just lovely, very tasty, it tates like good home cooking, not lots of frills just really good food. We ate the beef curry and venison stew, both delicious with an added bonus of some birds eye chilli dip which was hot but so delicious. The two dishes were cooked very well and the meat super tender. The two starters of butternut squash and another with smoked salmon were great. We had an excellent bottle of South African red and to finish two yummy desserts, Bannofie pie and a cheesecake. The staff are really nice and friendly, could not not recommend this one anymore! Go there you wont be disappointed.

We are here as there was nowhere else without driving. Service was friendly enough but menu was basic and food average. Generally lacking atmosphere and ambiance Hi, thak you for visiting our bar/restaurant, we offer a wide variety of products more than 45 dishes, we dont intend to be a posh restaurant or a lounge bar , only a welcoming and friendlly oriented gastroBar. we hope next time your experience is better.

We came with no expectations, the menu is in Spanish and our Spanish is non existent so muddled through but oh gosh what a fabulous place. Servings are generous ( and after a day of skiing that's what you're after obviously), the magret duck cooked to rare perfection, the rabbit grilled on point with garlic and oil, the chocolate dessert ummmmmm, yummmmm, the wine was exceptional value, in fact some wines on the list we recognised as being priced lower than in the wine shops. Traditional food done very well, this is a gem of a place and luckily for us we have 4 more nights here in Baquiera so we will return.
