If a dinner is included with your hotel stay at San Jorge, or some other hotel in Alcala, as it often happens with the bike and hiking tours, then set your expectations very low - it will most likely be at Restaurante Pizarro. The Trip Advisor lists it as #5 of 7, which means that there are two more that are worse. Who would have known. Your meal will be decided for you at the restaurant's discretion. You might even ask in advance for a vegetarian meal, but you will most likely still get something with meat. If meat is not an option for you, it will be replace with a small deep dried fish, not even suitable for an appetizer. That's about it. You can also ask for a coffee, they'll give it to you, all with some apathetic attitude. God forbid you ask for two glasses of their cheapo white wine and you will get a bill for 4 euros. Do yourself a favor and get your own dinner. Elsewhere. But of course, all of the above is just one man's opinion based on one experience.
We've got there by chance in a torrid summer day, and were very well attended. Then surprise: we were served the best lemmonade of our lives!!!
El Aljibe restaurant is a pleasant and quiet place to eat, with a varied, quality and affordable menu. We have parking and we are in the same facility of the Visitor Center and Botanical Garden "El Aljibe", in the heart of Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
This little gem is set in an historical building with many architectural touches and tasteful Morrocan decor. The service is very attentive and friendly. We had the chicken pastelâ filo dough filled with diced chicken, and lamb Tagine. Both superb. They offer a handful of healthy and creative salads and Spanish foods as well. We are excited to have such a good restaurant in our town.

Repetiremos !

Andalucian home cooking in relaxed, spacious restaurant with bar. Terrace overlooks the square. Speciality seasonal, locally sourced meat and fish dishes. Menu of the day 10⬠for 3 courses, with bread and a drink. A la carte available with an extensive se
A lovely place right at the top of Alcala with a great aspect overlooking the Plaza and the beautiful 13th century church. Typical Andalusian cooking, not particularly sophisticated but good local food and extremely good value, Good wines and wonderfully cold beer. The owners are really friendly and there is often Flamenco 'happening' up there or just chat to the locals at the bar.

There is parking in front of the restaurant. The interior is rustic, and the personnel that served us didn't speak a word of English. Eating is a la carte. Menu is quite extensive with tapas, and especially meat dishes from special beef (retinto) and pork. As a non-meat item we can wholeheartedly advise the local cheese warmed with olive oil. A nice restaurant for traditional food, but nothing to go out of your way for. Price-quality was a bit steep, considering the meat dishes (~20â¬) were only served with peppers and chips.

Venta-Restaurant & Grill. Specialization in Game Meat and rices. Variety of tapas, sandwiches, rations. Breakfast with moreno bread, Daily menu also weekends . Store cold cuts, cheeses, Gifts, press ...
I found the venue interesting as we entered the building...but that's where the intrigue stopped. There is a giftware store inside that sells most of the mass produced giftware that you can find anywhere. The amenities were in a reasonable state, which was nice. The food was not to my liking... I found it tasteless and quite ordinary. I also noticed that most of the group I travelled with left much of what they ordered on the plate.
