We had big plate of tortilla which you can finish for 4 persons, Zamburiñas, and lots of beers.. The best Zamburiñas and tortilla that I have ever tried in the restaurant in Galicia. The place is really nice, it's like a lounge, bar and restaurant in one place. It's very new. Nice place to hangout with family and friends even couple like us!! Highly recommended

Recomendable!!

Here's why I want you to look for this special place.Luis Barazal is the owner chef who has honed his craft in London and Paris, and it shows.Three of us happened by Nojira while we were hiking around the city. It's just east of the main part of A Pobra do Caramiñal and along the water front. It looked interesting so we stopped in for lunch. Luis really needs to make this restaurant stand out, because inside is a gem in looks as well as how tasty the food is. With all of his travels, Luis speaks flawless English. But let's concentrate on the food.He started us with a mussel treat. Great. After the obligatory salad, my wife had the vegetarian pastry and I the small hake. Our friend ordered the pork. Desserts flowed after our delicious meal. The chocolate soup to my wife and the panna cota to me. If was so good we reserved a table for a9 pm dinner and a repeat performance.Luis had put his heart and soul into this place redoing the downstairs in the home his parents bought in 1942. His attention to detail in his food preparation is equal to that in his remodeling. This is one of those must visit restaurants that puts a French spin on local cuisine and it works. Two recommendations to Luis. First, get noticed! If we hadn't stumbled on the building we'd have missed a fine dining opportunity and secondly, a slight variation on the dinner menu for those of us who would love to return a few times during a short stay.Don't miss this place. 4.5 stars!

Mesón Don Miguel is one of the best restaurants in A Pobra do Caramiñal, where you can find traditional recipes applied to the best fish pieces and exquisite shellfish. You have to talk with Pablo in advence asking about what is his advice on the season, this level of quality have some retrictions and you have to know when and what to eat in each month. If you choose between what is offered in each moment, you´ll have the best pieces and the best flavours coming from the raw materials, prepared in the traditional way respecting the delicate flavour of the Galician sea productsFried sole, to be shared between two people is great, my be the tastiest sole I ever ate. Fresh, crunchy and juicy at the same time, it makes difficult to choose another thing, but Turbot, Hake and San Martiño (A local delicacy) are great too.Coming to shellfish, I tasted there the cockles, just steamed to be opened and it was a great experience, juicy, plenty of flavour and quite big. The texture they had at that moment, was unveliebable. (I came back again the day after to repeat them with a glass og Ribeiro wine). Another option are "Zamburiñas", a scallop local variety, quite big and tasty just with a little of olive oil.I left for the end the lobster, a big local and blue one, just prepared grilled with olive oil and some garlic, it was delicious. Probably it looks like a little expensive but to try an Galician one is something you cannot do everyday or everywhere. Order it and you never forget it!Pablo, the owner and maitre, is a polite guy, with a deep knowledge about what he is serving and the team at the restaurant are quite open and politeA great experience every time

Restaurante/café-bar.Restaurant two forks. Work on demand and also available Monday through Friday from the daily menu. Unbeatable location overlooking the sea. Restauranta has a well of a booth. Raw materials meet all the qualities of freshness and quali
Postres bien presentados, correctos. Un detalle invitarnos a los cafés.

Probably my favourit restaurant in A Pobra, which is saying a lot considering the good restaurants offer around. Small, cosy and nicely decorated in a traditional style (wood, stones,...), serves fresh quality food. it might be slightly more pricely than other restaurants around (1 or 2 euros more a "racion") but it worth paying it for the good quality and tasty food and the atmosphere. Its very popular and it might get quite packed in summer.

If you find yourself anywhere in the area, you must stop by Bar Nuevo for a now legendary Bocata de Pulpo con San Simón da Costa! #47 on the menu. Tender octopus on perfectly crunchy artisan bread, topped with lightly caramelized sweet onion, and melted smoked San Simón da Costa cheese. With a sprinkle of good paprika and a nice pour of quality olive oil, this one of the best sandwiches around! Pairs perfectly with a local Albariño. Friendly, efficient service.
