Friends from out of town wanted to go to Uncle Julios. I hadn't been there in many years, due to an earlier bad experience, but agreed to join them. This visit was much better, though there were some issues. The Bad:1. Even though the restaurant was not very full, we were seated at a four-top right at the entry door to the patio. One of my friends was hit repeatedly in the back every time a staff member entered or exited the patio. We were only a party of four, so it was annoying that we were seated in such a crazy high-traffic area.2. No draft beer. I'm not a beer drinker, but my friends are. They were disappointed that they could only get bottled beer.3. Crazy long wait for food. Between the completion of the tableside guacamole and the delivery of our main courses, there was more than a 45 minute lag. We didn't order anything special or unusual.4. We had to beg for more tortillas for fajitas. The tortillas were delicious, but we only received three. Three of us had fajitas. We had to keep asking for more. I don't like feeling as if I am portraying Oliver Twist: "please, sir, may I have some more?" I don't expect 10 tortillas per person, but two or three would have been nice. The Good:1. The food was delicious! I had the honey chipotle chicken and bacon fajitas. I can't express how much I enjoyed them. My friends also enjoyed their food. The chips were wonderful -- very thin and crispy. 2. The tableside guac was great. The team member who made it was personable and customized it to the satisfaction of our table.3. The chocolate pinata (chocolate lover's edition). We loved it! The chocolate empanadas and churros that filled it were a wonderful end to the meal.4. The manager. He approached our table and apologized for the significant delay in our entrees and gave us a nice credit on our final bill.

Glad when they opened up in the Town Center and probably with the numerous restaurants around, not as busy as most Chipotles. fast moving, great customer service and probably the cheapest restaurant in the Center.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
We had dinner Friday night at On The Border. Warm chips, salsa, and margaritas started us off. House margarita was weak and flavorless. The 1800 Mercedes margarita was smaller but tasted much better. Itâs worth the $3 to upgrade. Ultimate fajitas were excellent. Grilled fish tacos were good but there wasnât much fish in the tacos. Service was average. The restaurant was a bit dirty. The floors needed to be swept at 5:00. There werenât many people there to keep them from cleaning. There was also a bit of trash at our booth between the seat and the divider wall. We had a gift card....

Like the old ad says, "no surprises". Good, custom-made burritos and tacos. (Sorry I don't have enough words to make 100 as required!)
