We had a very pleasant meal at Mossfire on a hot July Saturday afternoon when many downtown Jacksonville places near our hotel were closed. The upstairs area with the bar is adults-only but kids are OK on the lower level. The outdoor deck is probably great if the weather is suitable but it was too hot on the day we visited. There are 11 beers on tap, mostly big brewery standards but with some local craft beers. This is a friendly and casual place, we sat at the bar. My wife enjoyed her steak salad and my burrito was excellent. This is a place we would visit again if we get back to Jacksonville.

I was prepared for excellent food because of the reviews. I found the service to be lacking and I was seated under a cold blowing vent. I had trouble getting drink refills and service when the restaurant was not crowded . I will not return.Good Evening,My name is Carlos and I am the General Manager at Lola's. We thought this place would be typical Americanized Mexican fare. It is Americanized, but is full of flavor. The portions are generous, prices reasonable, and service friendly. The atmosphere (we sat outside) is comfortable and not too noisy. Will return.I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit with us.
