Visited on an impulse because it was convenient. Loved it Friendly service, and our meal was great. We ordered a la carte tacos. Mine was shrimp in a lettuce wrap with pineapple salsa. Delicious and healthy. The perfect portion.

My wife and I, had made a reservation, last evening. Mickey, the GM, and Jose, the Manager, made it happen! Thank you guys and the staff for the wonderful memory. The food was prepared exactly as we had requested. Great ambiance, great atmosphere, great drinks. I recommend this restaurant, hands down. many people were waiting in line, best advice, please make a reservation. We thought our favorite Mexican restaurant near Chicago had great guacamole, but Nandos has better. We also shared chicken nachos that were quite good. I should have asked for extra cheese.Service was attentive. LUnfortunately, it is a very busy restaurant and noisy.

We joined a couple of friends here to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a great experience. Our server Dennis was a highlight, being thoughtful, funny and spot on. We had the obligatory Margaritas which of course were very good. For mains we opted for the Chimichangas dinner which were both delicious and filing. The ingredients show the talent of the chef and were terrific. Highly recommend this restaurant and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Drove by this place a couple weeks ago, and decided to stop in next time I was in the area. Never tried "New Mexican" before, so stopped in for lunch at the bar. Gal behind bar was great, and pours a mean margarita. Then she went on to deliver chips with three different salsas. I ended up with the carnitas, comes bone in (the meat falls off the bone). Well portioned, and very good. I will definitely go back & try something else !

First off, New Mexico is not Mexico. It is a culinary gem of a state if you like Spanish influenced Mexican and Native American cuisine that has been around since the 1700s when the Spaniards traveled up the Rio Grande of NM. The food from NM is not like anything else. I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, and the Southwestern US and the cuisine is very different in NM. The grisly bits of steak chunk burritos and street tacos are more of Mexican inspired dishes typically found scattered all over the Southwest nowadays. The New Mexican Grill offers a simple and affordable version of quick service cuisine found in New Mexico. I am not going to compare it to any three star + places in Santa Fe or Albuquerque where most cuisine has taken almost an art form. To me its more like a quick service or an affordable casual restaurant you'd find in some places in Albuquerque and mostly the southern part of New Mexico. They also have the Indian bread dishes like the Navajo taco inspired dishes found in the Gallup region. Their chile is perfect (not too hot, not too mild) and goes great smothered over a burrito. Give this place a try I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. ---- My order suggestion: The ground beef and potato burrito smothered in green chile and cheese. That burrito IMHO comes pretty close to something I would find in a quick service place in Albuquerque or Las Cruces, NM. They also offer take-away meals. If you get a smothered dish, be sure the cashier doesn't carelessly pack it for you to go in your car ride home. That could get messy. Just my 2 cents and experience from NM.

This has been our 8th time here. It's always amazing when you can frequent a restaurant this many time and it's always great. This time we had the Ocean Front and Oscar Medallions... The steak on the Oscar plate was cooked perfect and the melody of selections on the Ocean Front were over the top. My hats off to the chef. We'll be back soon..Appreciate your positive feedback. It goes a long way.

Wow what a find.The chips and sauce so they provide her spicy yet fresh and enjoyable. The unlimited fills of your iced tea waters and soft drinks a great plus.We ordered a cheese appetizer which was kind of like fondue with ground beef and peppers definitely a treasure and treat.I ordered the azteca enchiladas which had a nice zesty citrus taste and three enchiladas with beef. Very feeling right amount of food of beans and vegetables and enchiladas.What a great review. Thank you for taking the time to do that, wow. I'm glad that you enjoyed your visit so much. My favorite enchiladas are called Enchiladas Pablanos. It's our fresh corn tortillas stuffed with chicken, mushrooms, spinach and oaxacan cheese then smothered with our Pablano Cream Sauce, OMG so good. Hope we get to see you back here soon.Adios!!

We decided to try Joyride Taco House for the first time today and were happy to find that they have $2.00 tacos from 2 to 6 on weekdays! We tried three different kinds and we liked them all! We will definitely come back! Would love to try one of their burritos next time. The only thing we didnât like about this place is that the music is too loud for us. Other than that, thereâs a pretty good vibe in there.
