I have had both the House Marg and a Skinny Marg - both are overly sweet, lack the kick and flavor of Tequila, remind me of Crystal Light served with a salted rim, and appear to be batch made rather than fresh to order. The only difference I can discern is the glass in which they are served - House Marg in an excitement inducing huge globe shaped Marg glass; Skinny Marg in a tall, ice filled, Bellini style glass (not a better value to be sure - about four swallows and you have a tall glass ice with saccharine after taste) I am telling you leave the Margs to the Rio.I have ordered both a Chimichanga and a #19. My Chimichanga order resulted in what amounts to a round burrito - it was not fried, which is, you know, the point of a Chimichanga. My #19 had great flavor and was HUGE. Green chili was not just spicy but also had great actual flavor. Sadly, it wasn’t really a burrito so much as it was a flour tortilla folded over burrito fillings. My fellow diners also ordered #19s and received actual Burritos. Again flavor was good, and I suppose this is most important however it speaks to a level of sloppiness. Coupled with my previous Chimichanga order... left wondering what’s happening in the kitchen. I won’t avoid this restaurant however won’t be seeking it out - did not live up to the hype

Disappointed. Was our favorite Mexican restaurant - probably not anymore. Margaritas and beer were good, service was OK, like every restaurant, Enchilada seemed to be shorter than used to be and the cheese was not hot, and crispy rellino was not crispy. We'll try again, sometimes new ownership takes a little time to get things n in order.

Very fun spot with great ambiance and hip vibe. I was really looking forward to trying some of their legendary culinary creations. Of course I would have to wash those down with some of their famous margs. My favorite taco ultimately was the lamb. It was so flavorful, tender and unique in its toppings. I enjoyed the salsa flight and relished the guacamole. My son preferred the smoky flavor of the steak and chipolte taco. Overall, my disappointment came from too high of expectations I suppose. The service was off this afternoon and my marg was less than memorable - especially given the price point. I will certainly return to explore the menu further but would be tempted to do happy hour as after spending a significant amount I was only sort of impressed. I love the concept so I will try again!
