If it's your first time visiting the Amalfi Coast, chances are you'll do a double-take the first time you see a roadside lemon stand. Yes, those are lemons, and yes, they are the size of your head. But despite their freakish appearance, you will grow to love these lemons because the locals use them to produce limoncello. And take it from us, there's nothing like a glass of limoncello as you gaze out at the sea from the balcony of your hotel in Amalfi. It's pretty much perfection.

Unfortunately we have spend one of our evenings at this restaurant. We have seen the reviews and the food was a bad surprise! Plates with low quality and fantasy, extremely expensive. But the main problem was the staffs' behavior. They were literary "throwing" the plates on the table, without saying nothing. At 10.00 in the night the table besides us was reserved by an Italian family of 8 persons with 3 babies (1-3 years old!!!) that they were screaming with their parents all the time. Suddenly from the other tables people were talking loudly in an effort to cover all the noise of this table! When we called the manager to complain about the situation he told us "the children are the future of Italy!!!) with an aggressive way and he told us to leave the place if we didn't like it!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the seafood risotto at Marina Grande. The service, view and food were excellent and well priced. I expected to pay more for such a beautiful location, but it wasn't priced higher than any of the other restaurants we tried. A beautiful location to sit outside on a nice evening. Wine was also very good.

On the recommendation of Roberto at Punta Civita B and B, we ventured down to this restaurant in a rainstorm. How lucky we were! From start to finish, the food was excellent. Our waitstaff was professional and present throughout the meal and all of courses were expertly prepared. Do not miss an opportunity to eat at this charming restaurant.

L'Abside italian Restaurant is situated in the centre of Amalfi, in the charming Piazza dei Dogi. L'abside is one of the most popular choices for tourists visiting the Amalfi Coast every year, both for the quality of its food and the professional and warm
Place and service was wonderful. So polite waiters wishing help you and trying to serve you. I loved the place. Dishes was very nice. Try corpachio when you are in Amalfi. Easy find location. Prices are very reasonable. I definitely suggest this place for dinner friends. Enjoy.

The restaurants in cathedral square Amalfi were packed to capacity and finding a place to have some lunch, was proving very difficult, but luckily hidden away up a few steps in the shadow of the cathedral, we found this lovely little restaurant the Taverna degli Apostoli, serving the most amazing food, I had a Caprese salad like no other I have ever tasted, and my daughter said the pasta was the best she had ever eaten. The deserts too were delicious and well worth finding extra room for. The restaurant is run by a local couple who care so deeply about both the food and the service, nothing is to much trouble. This is definitely one of our best foodie memories of a great holiday on the beautiful Amalfi coast.

Pizza Express Amalfi is a small shop that you can easily find along the main street of the ancient Maritime Republic. Here you will find sympathy, speed and a lot of "goodness"! Anything you like prepared in front of your eyes in a few minutes!
After a long day on the Path of the Gods, we just wanted to crash at our apartment with pizzas and beers. Happily, Pizza Express sorted us out with great pizzas, made in front of us with fresh dough, in 10 minutes flat. The name tells you everything.

We are a small âagriturismoâ and although our farm exists since 1972 we have opened to tourism in 2014 with our farm store where we serve drinks, granita and light food prepared with our products. We grow mainly lemons and citrus fruits but also vegetable
This family run restaurant is located uphill, ~30 minutes hike from the Amalfi center. Reportedly they grow all the ingredients they serve on their menu, therefore NONE of the dishes (except for the cold cuts) contain any meat products. We weren't aware of this detail and I wish we would have known that ahead of time since I would not have visited and would have avoided the trip up there.First of all, the hike was pretty brutal, especially under the intense Amalfi Coast heat. There was no signage to guide us through the hike, but my iPhone GPS did a pretty goo job in getting us there. Once we got there we had a table reserved outside but we were too hot and sweating profusely to even think properly so we asked to be sat inside. After we cooled down and recovered our senses we walked out to the patio area to check it out and it was actually nice with some shade and a cool breeze. We still opted to stay inside though since we had some drinks already served at our table. The menu is rather limited with only a couple of main dishes offered and it seems they change it depending on what they have available from their garden/farm. They don't have much in terms of wine selection and the time we visited they only had red house wine to offer. They do have lemon drinks served in multiple different versions (limonata, granita, slushy, etc).We started off with the fried zucchini flowers which were the highlight of the meal and the only dish we actually enjoyed. We ordered another appetizer dish to share, frisella (or fresella?), which was like a bruschetta except it was a single, hard, large piece of twice baked bread topped with a few ingredients like onions, peppers, and sun dried tomatoes. It was boring and definitely not memorable in a good way. For our main entrees we had the pasta of the day dish which was a baked bucatini pasta, with provolone cheese and tomato (think lasagna here) and a lemon risotto. We ate the pasta dish because we were starving but it was not good at all. Not sure why they chose to bake the pasta, I think it would have been a much better dish if it would have just been cooked with tomato and cheese as the sauce. And the risotto, where do I even start? It was lemony and fragrant for sure, but really it was just a plain plate of rice, boring and lacking creativity.Although Amalfi is known for having way too many tourist traps for restaurants, I think any of the city center places would have been better than this one. The hike up there was definitely not worth the effort (and a close call for heat exhaustion), time or money. Although the meal was not expensive, the restaurant in my opinion does not deserve the 5-star rating it's gotten on other review platforms. The service was friendly enough, but it doesn't justify the visit. We didn't even want to experiment with dessert, although it looked like it could have been a decent choice, sadly we were just over the whole experience and wanted it to be over so we could hike our way back down to Amalfi under the scorching heat as quickly as possible.

La Rua "Pizze e Delizie is a takeaway pizzeria, rotisserie and bakery family business where all we do is purely HOME MADE with fresh and first choice products.
A quaint small local pizzeria. Family owned. Absolutely welcoming. We eat halal and they were most obliging to prepare vegetarian with washing all utensils and bakeware first and no mixing with any meat products. The kitchen is an open view one and one can see how fresh and clean everything is. The tastiest pizzas we had in Italy. The most welcoming of staff. Luv luv luv this place. A must for any stop in amalfi.

After spending a week in Positano and eating at a different restaurant for every lunch and dinner, I can say that DâAielloâs Family exemplifies what I would describe if asked about an âauthentic Positano experienceâ.Located on the second floor of the small Hotel Savoia, the restaurant has approximately twenty tables on their terrace and a bit more than that inside. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, without being pretentious. We enjoyed wine, appetizers, pasta, seafood and even a very well-prepared steak. Everything was excellent, with pricing a bit below what we expected for food and service of this caliber. The wine list was not overpowering, but had a nice assortment of local wines for every price point. The service was professional, personal and engaging. Our waiter made us feel right at home and never âphoned it inâ as is so typical of tourist destinations.Highly recommend.
