We ate hear twice during our stay. Normally we don't do that but the fact is that the food is good and when you don't want to walk to town this a good option. If you stay in the hotel you get 15% discount om your restaurant bill.

We kicked off our trip to Bariloche with dinner here. They happily accommodated our group of 10. All of the food was delicious, including the bread and spreads to start. The lamb brochette and casserole were both spectacular. The parilla was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Although in high demand the restaurant is well organized and there is attention to detail. The service is efficient as d although a bit pricey, like almost everything in Patagonia, the quality of the food is simply remarkable. Try to visit the original site on Bustillo.

At this writing I'm only the 3rd person to review this restaurant, and I'm at a loss to understand what the others were so happy with. I certainly wouldn't rate it as "cheap eats". My friend and I just ate there. The nightly specials included a choice of dishes that were intended to be shared by 2 people, for 280 pesos. Or, if only one of us wanted that dish, a half portion could be had for 195 pesos. So we ordered a dish to share, and they charged us 280 pesos EACH! That makes no sense - it would have been so much cheaper to order two half portions. The shared dish consisted of a plate of three canelloni (not sure how 2 people are to share 3 items), plus a little casserole of mashed potatoes with some ground beef in it. For that we were charged 37 USD. Not cheap at all. The food quality was OK but not at all exceptional; rather salty for our taste. No particular complaints about the service aside from the waiter not really explaining the 2-for-1 deal very clearly at all. We were comfortable with Spanish but if you're not, there appeared to be zero English communication available here.

Walking around Bariloche and we saw this restaurant. The interior was pleasing and our waiter was very accommodating. He gave us our menus and explained the set meal of the day as well as other specials. I decided on an empanada to start and the chicken which was the daily meal. My Wife had an empanada and the complete salad. Both were ample portions and tasty. Actually the carne empanada was the best so far in Argentina. This restaurant is a hidden gem! Also take note of the street right across from the restaurant.

Restaurant is quaint in garden setting, outside of town. I had pork cooked in beer, and my partner had sausages. Both were served with saurkraut, red cabbage, and mashed potatoes. The pork was ok, with little flavour. The sausages were hot dogs. Saurkraut and red cabbage were marginal, but mashed potatoes were very good. Golden ale was also good. The expensive cab ride each way, and marginal food made time and money a waste. We really enjoy German food, especially in Germany. This is not like that.

Great bread, a little on the salty side. The salad was interesting with carmelized crunchy walnuts, cucumber, brussel sprouts on a bed of smashed pears. Cornflakes Next shrimps rolled in cornflakes served with sugar beet and raspberry sauce and white chocolate. The wine a sauvignon blanc, Tomero. Next was a was a malbec rose for the pink salmon with very crunchy skin on. Super yummy!. Next a pino noire with the potato mushroom soup spiked with cacao beans and vanilla. Of the wall on the yummilicious scale. The wine superchargers the flavor attack. The knives arrived, beef next. Just guessing, some heavy red cabernet sauvignon. Malbec, I was outsmarted. The beef is bife de chorizo, sirloin strip. 4 of 7, sous vide bife at 140 seared and sealed on an open flame. Chewy as sirloin is but was super delicious. 5 of 7 on the way. The semisweet pre dessert. Violet flower mousse, with pistachios on a bed of blueberries and tangerine juice. It just keeps getting better. I am guessing port and something really sweet. They got me again. A sweet malbec, like port, and a cookie topped with chocolate mousse and dusted with semisweet dark chocolate. Oh yeah, a little gold foil square. 5 stars again. The owner/chef just checked in with us. Nice guy and his wife helps bus tables.

This place came as a recommendation, and after coming from Buenos Aires and eating at very famous steak restaurants I admit I was not expecting much. Well, was I proved wrong.... this was easy a million times better than the rest and I loved them too so that is saying something?!We had the rib eye and the sirloin, both Medium and I cannot recommend enough... my sirloin was a half portion which was massive still. It was the tastiest steak, my husband asked to go behind the scenes to watch how they do it - it was fantastic. We actually ended up going back the next night - we shard a T-Bone which wasn't on the menu. Sides were great too. Hands down the best steak we have ever had at a restaurant.

Quiven Patagonia House Kitchen is a contemporary proposal that enhance the products and flavors of the Patagonia region. The Chef Pablo Quiven put his mark seeking the peculiar combination of flavors, textures and beauty in the design of each dish.
Our experience was one of a kind. The food was presented in 7 very unique ways (courses). I've dined in Singapore, London, NYC, San Fransisco, Lima, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Rome, Barcelona, Casablanca, Bangkok etc... and this isn't just "good for Bariloche", the presentation is "good" for ANYWHERE in the world! If you are a 'foodie' you would be hard-pressed to find a more interesting place to dine. It's intimate with just over half a dozen tables!
