Like it's nearby neighbor Toasted Cafe I must have passed this place hundreds of times without paying attention. Thankfully I have great Yelp friends who like to share their good finds. Hence I found myself and a weekday afternoon meeting up with some friends to try some of the offerings of the New Jersey Deli 2. We ended up sharing a mixture of their pastries, sandwiches, and empanadas. I noticed that a lot of their pastries have caramel in them. My favorite was a cake covered in meringue that was yellow sponge on the inside with caramel, cream and peaches. We also had a caramel, cake, and some of the cookies. The beef empanadas were so good I had to get some to go. Empanada flavors come in beef, chicken, ham and cheese, spinach, cheese, cheese and onion, and fish. .Once you make your selection they fry it up for you. The coffee was amazing. It was a lot better than what you get in a coffee shop chain. A lot of care was given to fresh brewing it and topping it with a thick layer of foamy milk. My fancy coffee and a chocolate croissant was only $2.95. Later on I paid for four empandas and the meringue cake and it was only $12.00. They offer both inside and outside seating. I thought the prices are inexpensive for the quality of the food. My friend said lunch is even better so I will have to come back for that. Great food and great company turned an ordinary week day afternoon into a delight.

When my friend told me that there was a Peruvian/Chinese restaurant around, we decided to check it out. This restaurant was my 7th and last stop in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area continuing with my culinary Peruvian experience. My expectation were high, I haven't had Chinese/Peruvian since I have been to Peru. The food wasn't bad, but I had better Chinese food. The portions were large; definitely what a peruvian would call tay-pa.I didn't order anything special, some vegetables and some fried rice. My friends ordered the fried noodles. I ask if she thought the food had a Peruvian flavor, and she said no. They had Lucuma ice-cream and that save the day for me!Maybe is the fact that there are so many Peruvian people that makes you think you are somewhere in Peru. Chifa TayPa is a very ambitious project. I don't think you could have this type of food, but only in Peru. It is the fusion of so many years that could not be imitated outside the country. Would I go back? No. If I feel like Chinese food, I know the place.

AUTHENTIC Mexican and El Salvadoran FOOD LOTS OF SPANISH ENTREES AND BREAKFAST ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY STARTS AT 9:00 Am
This is one of those places that you would drive by and not even give a second glance to. We happened to discover it at the Taste of Oakland Park and decided to come and check it out.The restaurant is a stand-alone building that is non descript. The interior is small, but the staff is very warm and friendly. This restaurant specializes in Mexican and Salvadoran foods. We started our meal with Horchata, which is a blend of rice milk and cinnamon and our first time ever having it. It was YUMMY and comes in a huge glass. Each table is served chips, which were warm and crispy, and a homemade salsa. The salsa was very good. Not too spicy, but has a slight kick. For starters we tried the Sweet Corn Tamales (it was like eating a dessert!) and a bean Pupusa, which is a traditional Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with items of your choice. It comes with this wonderful sauce and cabbage mix to be placed on top. It wasn't greasy at all and I would definitely recommend to try it. For the main entries we had the Grilled Chicken Breast that is topped with grilled peppers and onions. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and I like the fact that it is grilled. It is accompanied with black beans (AMAZING FLAVOR) and a rice that has some mixed vegetables in it. Delicious! The other dish we tried was the Salvadoran Steak in Red Sauce, which is sauteed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Highly Recommended! The sauce almost tastes like an Italian tomato sauce and goes well with everything. I even liked it on my chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. This, too, is accompanied with black beans and rice plus fried plantains. Definitely a Winning Dish!Portions are large and we, unfortunately, had no room for dessert. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming to check it out. Don't be fooled by looks on the outside, as inside, is definitely a treat for your taste buds!PS - If this review was useful, please click the HELPFUL button on your phone or you can click the THANK YOU button on your computer. stopped there just to try it near home - ordered the $4.95 1/4 chicken rice beans lunch added the fried yucca - total was $8.75 - chicken was ok skin had nice crisp the interior meat was not that flavorful, but the rice and beans were plentiful and the rice was moist and beans had very good flavor - the fried yucca nice portion well done - went well with the green semi spicy sauce and the onions in a clear juice went well with the rice - would definitely do the rice, beans yucca again - for me this is a great find and the place was clean, $ friendly and the staff was extremely helpful in answering questions about some items I had never seen before -

Food is very good, dishes are somewhat smaller than usual as it is a fusion place. If you don't mind paying, then it is a good place to eat.

Before you will think to go to a fast food restaurant with burguers, think about this very good option; at La Granja Parrilla you will find real food at fast food prices, maybe this is their winning secret. This peruvian restaurant has adapted the original dishes to the Floridian-caribbean, market, the original Pollo a la Braza is served with french fries and salad, it has been adapted to this market with white rice and black beans, that also is not bad, is very acceptable even is not the original recipy. The restaurant offers free spicy sauces and onions sauces. Is not the best, but this place offers good fresh food at very low price. They offer the most popular peruvian food as lomos saltados, seafood and more.
