Our resturante is inspired by a variety of traditional food from the area, and our location allows us to fresh seafood from the area. We have recently added Chinese cuisine to our menu and created a relaxing environment to enjoy the food. Come enjoy our c
Pretty location and good food with attentive service. Nearby the public launch but not right on it. We've enjoyed big breakfasts and lunch here watching the traffic on the river. It's nice to be away from the hectic main street!

Restaurants in Livingston tend to be marginal and pricy. Gamboa Place is an oasis. The quality is high, portions generous, and prices reasonable for Livingston. They serve traditional Garifuna and Belizean cuisine, and strong coffee. Itâs up an alley off the beach, but the entrance is well marked. Once you reach the restaurant youâll find an open air patio, clean tables, and a fresh colorful friendly environment. And they have Marie Sharpâs hot sauce on every table. These folks are very much a part of the surrounding Garifuna community, so just ask anyone when you reach down to the sea. Itâs just north of the âdiscos.â Tell them youâre looking for Gamboa and youâll likely meet with a friendly greeting. They also seem to be well connected to local fishermen, so this would be a good place to try some fresh fish. Maybe some hudut.

Best on the water dining in the entire Rio Dulce. Panoramic views with wonderful food served quickly in an elegant ambiance. Mojitos and Pina Coladas, other drinks made from scratch. Belgian waffles, crepes, filet mignon, asian inspired salads, Cuban sand
Our experience at Tortugal was fantastic! Every meal was great, served in a timely manner and with a smile. I had read reviews that the food and service weren't great, but our experience could not have been more different. We enjoyed the traditional breakfast options offered, including unlimited coffee bar. Dinner was great, with the exception of one night when we had pizza (the special that night) that wasn't fantastic. The shrimp Tortugal dinner with mashed potatoes was by far my favorite evening meal. Great drinks with embellished garnishes. We enjoyed the different spaces to dine at the restaurant (bar, library table, waterside tables). The staff was fantastic for our entire stay, especially Leo and Herbert.

Buga Mama seems a bit "touristy" and the food was just average. I had the grilled whole fish, and it was pretty typical, nothing special. Maybe some local sauces or salsas would have helped out. The fries are "fast food style" frozen fries, the salad, iceberg with some weak looking cucumbers. My server was quite pleasant and was very attentive. It seemed a bit expensive for what I received.
