Very touristy with mostly international guests which means zero authentic experience. Even if I wouldnât have serious indigestion since the morning I would still say the same, the Parihuela was terrible not even close how it supposed to be. The chef and the owner need to look to the mirror seriously. The dishes around me looked average and most of them havenât finished. Staff is nice but in spite of busy place slow and mediocre.

We knew we were not going to Amaz for any specific cuisine or a dish. We also knew we were going to experience innovative cooking of a well known chef (Pedro Miguel Schiffiano). And we also knew we needed reservations and had to arrive within 15-minutes of our time. Amaz is a fun experience. My wife had called ahead and let Mirela (the hostess, I think that was her name) know we would be 5-mins late but within 15-mins of our reservation time (7:30pm). We were two but were seated at a "moloka" table of four with a nice hut canopy that gave us an intimate surrounding. Having just completed our visit to MP, we started with a glass of French rose champagne. Our waiter was a nice man but didn't speak good english. We tried communicating via Google Translate app and it did the job. Maybe it was the fact that we were foreigners or the fact that Julio didn't speak much English or the fact that the restaurant was almost full, the chef sent us warm nuts and Yuca bread to keep our champagne some company. We started with a very unique appetizer: a delicate serving of Palm Tree bark. It was thin strips with a seasoning that did wonders. It really complemented our champagne well. Emboldened by the pleasant experience we ordered the Charcuterie as our next course. It is entirely made of fish meat - a unique experience. It had cold cuts of fish meats, sausage (fish meat that you couldn't tell - really delish!), and a pate portion. It also had an eggplant dip. It blew our minds. We ordered another round of drinks and savored this dish for a while....it is a very good portion for two....really good. My wife wanted to try the amazonian mushroom dish that is baked in banana leaf with other amazonian vegetables, including small potatoes, avocado and garlic. I got the seafood grill. As soon as the leaf was opened, you get a rush of flavor and smell....seasoning is a very interesting mix of cajun, lemon, garlic and something else. It was really good. My seafood grill was over the top. We tasted turmeric, garlic, ginger and some cajun flavors over shrimp, tender fish and scallops. The portions are large (meant to be shared) and even though we are small eaters, we devoured it. We had no desire for anything else after that and we walked to our hotel - a good 10 minutes walk. We needed it. After an hour and a half my wife and I looked at each other and decided to walk back to the restaurant for the dessert. Mirela was surprised to see us and when we told her we came back for dessert was quick to find us space at the bar. We had the Acai Bowl - ice cream with acai and jungle fruit smoothie in a bark-type bowl. We walked back and crashed. What a satisfying and flavorful experience!

It is a hotel restaurant, where the main idea is to travel with our customer to different parts of Peru through gastronomy; with the variety of recipes made by searching in villages located in the mountains, jungle and coast; convents recipes, recipes bor
The food was exceptional. Jhonatan was my server and he did an excellent job. He selected my food and drink for me. All paired perfectly. I probably wouldn't have made the same choices and I'm glad I went with his recommendations. Come hungry. You won't be sorry.

Melt. In. Your. Mouth. Literally everything we ate had the texture of butter: the lamb; the beef; the potatoes; the butter. Washed down with warm, spicy Moscow Mules - a perfect way to escape the cold reality of a Limeño winter. Excellent service, clever decor, and reasonable prices canât hurt either.Dear Mr Dan,Thank you very much for taking your time and writing about us. We feel happy you enjoyed our place. We hope you can visit us again soon. Thank you very much. COSME

Mar y Selva is a small place offering a variety of Peruvian food. I could not choose so I started with the causa acevichada, which was brilliant, and patacones en salsa especial. The salsa, yet again, was brilliant, while the patacones lacked some crispness. Finally, I had the tacu tacu en picante de marisco. As I have not had this before I don't know how it's supposed to be. That said I was slightly disappointed. It looked great but lacked a bit in taste. Hello JanB420 thank you very much for your comment, we are very happy for your gratifying evaluation ! We hope you come back soon, it will always be a pleasure to serve you.

When we went there, they asked us if we had a reservation. Not to mention that we called and called and nobody answer the phone, the website said: you can reserve online... you're right! Nobody answers anyways, so then we go there and the waiter (Venezuelan I believe) was rude..."If you don't have a reservation you can't come here". I explained what happened, and he still refused to sit us; at the end we got seated, but the atmosphere even though it's nice and well decorated, is cold and not well heated at all, noise level is Crazy and with the DJ and music I felt like screaming just to have a normal conversation. The food is nothing to die for, the Minestrone soup was thick and heavy, The ceviche was OK, the only good thing I got was the Leche de Tigre, (or maybe because I was craving it) A positive thing: generous portions... You can go to El Bodegon, La Panchita or El Punto Azul and get MUCH BETTER food, better service and they are all located in the trendy district of Miraflores. I would never come back to this place.....
