I've been here twice in the last month. Excellent pizza (extra thin), with a lot of interesting selections of ingredients. And the price is very reasonable. Desserts are very good as well.

It never fails to produce a good steak and it is very popular with platenses. You need a car to get there as it is on the main road (Camino Centenario) between La Plata and Buenos Aires. Very busy at weekends and you may have to wait for a table if you don't arrive before 12:30. Argentines tend to lunch after one pm and everyone arrives at the same time! There are other restaurants nearby but few are as good as this one

Dionisio is fine dining restaurant in the town of La Plata, the capital city of the province of Buenos Aires. A town BTW worth visiting. The restaurant is largely frequented by lawyers given its proximity to the Justice Building and other young professionals. Before you get into the restaurant, you are greeted by a small boutique of wines, and other foodie type items. The menu at the restaurant has a good selection of salads, pastas (though avoid the lasagna) with lovely sauces to choose from, meat and fish dishes. It is a refined cuisine portions are typically large (you could share when ordering two plates), no English menu but credit cards accepted. Ordered a salad with argula, sliced parmaesano, perscuitto, and pineapple. For the main had their lovey chicken and mousse filled dish. Lovely website to examine menu though it is in spanish. Impressive wine list. If you are a member of this restaurant or client you get a special discounted menu. Neat.

Below the standard. There are a bunch of basketball clubs in La Plata that have a restaurant, where you can expect like-at-home food. Not fancy, not expensive, tasty. This place used to be like that, but not anymore. We had the dish of the day, different grilled meats, a (supposedly) fancy version of âparrillada â. The meat was low quality, and expensive, the place was filled with smoke, the staff overly friendly.

As a native of La Plata I was pleased to see a good steak house with high standards of cooking. We had the chorizo sausage that was superb, hardly any fat in it and cooked to perfection. We then had two sirloin steaks again very tender and succulent. If you're not a big eater I'd suggest you share the steak as at 400 grams it's a large piece of meat. The restaurant takes MasterCard and has free wifi. The reason I did not award 5 stars is because the wine list, although excellent, does not offer half bottles. As my companion doesn't drink alcohol I had no choice but drink a glass of house red. The decor was simple and clean, staff friendly. Reservations online are encouraged. We went on a Friday for lunch without reservation, I presume the place can get pretty full. Not sure if there is seating upstairs.

Big variety of fish dishes. We ate crumby shrimp as a starter and red tuna as main course. Both were excellent.
