We've travelled from Guatemala to Chile in the past 7 months and to our surprise this location served up the best piscos we've had in our travels. We had the rhubarb and the eucalyptus piscos and were blown away. The food was excellent as well. This very unassuming restaurant located next to the plaza is a definite spot to check out if you're looking for a good pisco and a bite to eat.

Probably "El Arrayan de Cucao" is the best restaurant in Cucao (and maybe on Chiloé)! My husband and I were absolutely surprised from this type of chilean food: Its so much more than meat and potatoes! The owners (a nice young chilenean couple) offering diffrent kind of seafood, special chilenean dishes, perfect grilled beef, wonderful tartes and other desserts. My favorite was "Matchas a la parmesana": Mussels with lime and parmesan, served with bread.

A lovely place to stop for a snack and the view. It was also a relief to find such a clean place after the rather grubby outskirts of Ancud. We also had a great welcome there.

This restaurant was a surprise. Hand knitted garment, delicious certified organic food, a cute garden and well mantained restrooms. Everything taken care of by the lady owner and family.

Thursday nights are quiet during the dark and cold Chilote winter, so finding something good, open or crowded ain't easy. I had seen Almud "bar" before and didn't enter, yesterday we did, and it was good. I had something simple, just some freshly made pineapple juice and some great pizza. The surprise? Good and friendly service and great food. Instead of one big pizza I got four small ones, full of flavour, different types of chillies, chilli preserve, cheese and avocado! So good. I'm really looking forward to the massive piscolas they offer and I AM going back for some more pizza!!!Why did I put "bar", becaise it is a restaurant and by law you have to be eating something warm if drinking, and cops are quite strict about it!! Great discovery!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It was nice, clean and warming. The food was very tasty! Vegetarian options. Served by the owners. This restaurant was recommended to us.It is a quaint small restaurant with a homely feel.The waitress was very friendly and suggested some seafood dishes ,which we ordered.Food was very nice with generous servings,with fresh local produce, it was a lovely experience .Would definitely go back again and would highly recommend it to friends

We arrived coming from Chaitén (ferry) and decided to have lunch. Very clean, and seems the best in town as we passed thru some. Large group (21!) but the owner was not afraid and did everything in his power to receive us and prepare great food. Sandwiches (very large and good), menu and some at la carte plates with sea food. No alcohol available. We have good food, a very good impression on someone that works hard to satisfy its customers and try everything to serve them at the best. Thanks Juan!!!
