Pampas Argentinas

For the first time in the 3 years I have been dining there, I after write this bad review. Stopped there last sunday for brunch....ordered the spaghetti carbonara....which is my personal favorite on the menu. I couldn't finish it which was a first. Got home and proceeded to get violently sick for close to 24hrs and it was close to 3 days before I could keep any food in my body.......

My husband and I are in search of a Peruvian restaurant in Queens that has both great food and attentive customer service. Our search continues after visiting this small, restaurant in Forest Hills, Queens. My husband reports that the rotisserie chicken was moist and flavorful; the portion was smaller than we are accustomed to. The yellow rice and beans were yummy especially when the green spicy sauce was drizzled over them.Tostones were crisp and satisfying, accompined by a lemony, slightly spicy dipping sauce. I was disspaionted with the ceviche mixto; the portion was small and there were too many red onions and not enough fish. Oh and service was OK, I mention this because others have reported subpar service and customer service impacts my diniing experience.

Don Alex Restaurant

Don Alex is an unassuming Peruvian chicken restaurant in Rego Park, Queens. White tablecloths and an elegant setting await diners but the real treat here is the chicken...it's perfection. Marinated in spices and rotisserie roasted to perfection, this chicken is an elevated expression of a modest bird. Paired with the green sauce, it's an instant classic. Sides are good too especially the salad...and the odd (yet good) French fries with cut up hot dog. If you're in the area, DO stop in. Oh, and they deliver too.
