Things to do in Cartago
This restaurant is closed. Other one is open at the same location but not this one.We didn't try the new one as the concept is different. It may be goid though...carne a la llanera. However we had a different expectation and it was disapointin find that Barbacoa Restaurant closed 3 months ago.
Chicken tenders, boneless, hamburguers and ebano sauce are delicious. Service is very nice, delivery is very good too. We come here and also use the delivery service quite often. Very good place to have some nice chicken wings too. We love it here.
The arepas are excellent, with a choice of large corn (yellow or white) arepas, and you choose from a 3 filling or 6 filling option. There are at least 28 filling choices including many various meats (chicken, beef, chorizo, ribs, chicharron, chunchulla, bacon, ham, shrimp), vegetables (mushroom, plantain, avocado, corn), and quail egg, beans, cream cheese, curd, plus 7 different sauces (honey mustard, garlic, pineapple, mayonnaise/ketchup, hogao, chowy, and my favorite â aji)As a surprise to many, the arepas are filled very full, so the value is very good. For those with a smaller appetite, there is a smaller arepa available with less filling options, but we did not try those. We have been there four times already, two times at their previous location in the Santiago Plaza, and now twice at their new location they moved to in September 2015. It seems to be always comfortably busy, yet no long waits and seating is regularly available. We would suggest trying it out, as it is a nice surprise to have a restaurant of this caliber available with the quality and price. Prices when we last visited in December 2015 were 6,900 pesos for the 3 filling, 7,900 for the 6 filling. Oh, and they deliver if you are in Cartago and do not want to walk or drive to the restaurant. We saw many deliveries being made during our visits.
somesite is magic, where history and good food come together in uno.la food is very good and excellent service and I hope to return soon and people who follow the comment I recommend Hotel Restaurant El Rincon De Geneva.
La Maria is a place that arises from the investigation of the autochthonous recipes of Cartago and the valley, since this city was one of the most influential in the gastronomy of the department, we seek to bring this wonderful cuisine from oblivion.
We bring from oblivion the typical gastronomy of Cartago to recover all our ancestral recipes and take them to another level, we invite you to discover a wonderful cuisine
Me quiero quedar a vivir acá!!!.RecomendadÃsimo. Vale la pena la parada a ojo cerrado.
Have eaten here before a few years ago and it has gone downhill. Service was slow and the tropical juice that was included in the lunch of the day was somewhat tasteless. The cauliflower soup was good but the main course of pork in red wine sauce was served practically cold. The cost was very reasonable at $9000 for the set lunch about (£2.50). Personally I would prefer to pay a bit more and get a hot dish.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Winners: chuleta de cerdo apanada (breaded pork filet) lengua en salsa criolla (cow tongue in creole sauce) and the salads.....and of course the fruit juices. This place itself is a reason to come to this town. Fantastic!
