I have eaten at the Princess Cafe several times. It is always very good. But today, my goodness, I had the best panini I have ever tasted. It was the Californian, on dark brown bread, with cheddar, avocado, grilled peppers, fresh ripe tomato, pesto, and a thick layer of herbs and arugula. Every bit of it was bursting with flavor; it was cooked to perfection. ($9)My friend had a salad with golden and red beets, fresh spinach and a bunch of other things. She said it was exceptional.

I first visited Rumbletum for lunch with some friends. I'm from Kitchener, and work UpTown Waterloo and although I love all of the local restaurants and cafés directly in the KW region, it was a nice change to visit somewhere a little out of the way. I had the veggie sandwich and added turkey - just to be annoying. The woman who took my order chuckled at the irony but took my sandwich modification without hesitation. I love supporting local, and independent businesses. I loved the service, food and atmosphere of Rumbletum Café & Gifts so much so that I approached them about volunteering there a few weeks later!

I've been to Teremok many times over the years and the service and quality of the food never varies: it is always superb! While you can't choose wrong here (and today I came for a yummy breakfast) their borscht and perogies are at the very pinnacle of greatness.
