I haven't been to all the local restaurants, yet, but I'm surprised it seems to top the list. Don't get me wrong the service was attentive, food was good (we had pizza) and the price was ok. What we felt it lacked was warmth. The main restaurant is a huge tiled room with large tables well spaced from each other. If you are there for a wedding on a lovely summers day it is probably totally different but on a cold and blustery November evening it felt uninviting not withstanding the service. I was hoping for a warm inviting country house but what I got was cold and uninviting. Outside they have a decent garden area with a pretty pergola which strongly suggests their main business is in wedding reception market. One point on the food, we ordered pizza, fine. But they brought us an appetiser of thing focaccia which was very nice but not what you want when you are about to eat pizza! After a few slices of the focaccia she couldn't finish the pizza. Better would have been a lovely canapé that showed off the chefs skill and maybe might have brought me back to try something else other than pizza. I asked for a wheat or white beer but I got a lager. Not sure the waiter knew the difference. The prices were average.

Four of us enjoyed lunch sitting outside yesterday. We shared two antipasti- a vegetarian and "house". After that a very different carbonara made with chick peas and a spicy Viterbo pasta. We were pleased we had room for desert as the ice creams were absolutely delicious. Home made. Good selection of cakes and pastries too. Very nice service from our helpful friendly waitress who spoke good English (and some Spanish too as she was able to chat to a table of Spanish tourists). This somehow still feels like a place for locals with men putting the world to rights over a coffee, a resident cat who likes sitting on your knee and families popping in for an ice cream. Inside is huge and we hear the pizzas are excellent. We had lunch here after a super morning at Villa Lante and the extraordinary Gardens of Bomarzo - il Parco dei Mostri.

I usually go to this lovely restaurant in the heart of Tuscia as well as my parents and my great-parents too. People are always lovely and friendly. Dishes very very good with high quality ingredients. I always enjoy the stay and the cooking, especially soups and meat such as the mushroom soup and the "fegatini di maiale con miele". Cooking is tipical, only a little revisited. I look forward to coming back again :-)

We had a very pleasant lunch in a square just over the road from the main restaurant. The roasted vegetables with different types of mozzarella was more than enough for two people, as a starter. The zucchini, eggplant and red capsicum were grilled to perfection. The array of pizzas was most inviting and the sizes were enormous, so much so that we had to take the uneaten portions away.Total cost including a bottle of water âfrizzanteâ came to â¬33.

I highly recommend this trattoria non only for its friendly service but also for the exquisite and genuine dishes that they are famous for. Its a local cuisine, their pasta is home made. Try the 'Fieno with bolognese sauce' their best pasta dish! Also when in season try the porcini mushrooms, the are hand picked. Not to be missed also the marinated eggplants for starter and wild boar for main course.

We have come here on a April's Saturday, after a visit to Bomarzo - Parco dei Mostri. It's located in a very little village, extremely characteristic. It's a proper village "trattoria" with good atmosphere and very good "vino sfuso" - home wine. We started with a generous plate of antipasti della casa followed by home made pasta with porcini mushroom. We did not have any space left for the second but we tried the strongly recommended castagne (chestnuts) mousse with fresh whipped cream - just amazing. It has been a memorable lunch with such a ridiculous price (less than 20⬠each) - hope I could find more place like this in London ;)

Excellent authentic regional food with a large range of options. The meal we had here was the best we had all week in the Lazio region. Terrific house wine. Two rooms for diningâone more family, the other more restaurant. This place is a must in Soriano.

We visited this restaurant twice for dinner in August 2016. It is probably the best restaurant in the arear of Soriano - it is very popular with Italians, and busy even in mid-week, despite its relatively remote location up the hill road. The food was excellent, as was the service. It was noticeable that it was well staffed in terms of numbers, which is comparatively rare - some good restaurants struggle to cope when busy, but not so here.
