in this restaurant, you cannot go wrong. everything was good and we had a party of 10 persons. Wine, food and desserts where superb.I did read English review that they might be more concentrated on regular clientele and this might be true since it is not highly touristic are so they depend on locals you might need to get your Italian skills out to get better service but in terms of quality of food, this is the placeDear Guest,thank you so much for your review about our restaurant Vignal. I am blunt with my reviews, but this restaurant was a revelation in great seafood, except the oysters, which I am used to having in the US for a lot less money and with more taste... but that is not on the chef! You cannot make oysters taste sweeter! I had the octopus with pumpkin and chanterelles on a smash of tapenade... it was sublime... I had never considered serving octopus with either of the accutrements so it was a real surprise to find out how wonderfully married they were. Then I had the amberjack (you must ask the chef about why his amberjack is different!) that was probably one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had; served on a bed of puree of salsify... I wish I had not been too shy to order a second order! My dark chocolate dessert with pears was light, cloudy and delicious, and they brought me sbrizzolona (and they were kind enough to let me take the second piece with me!) which was lighter than any other I have ever had (and if you never had it before I am sorry! you must try it when in Italy)... I can come back to this restaurant again and recommend it to all... service was excellent; not to mention that the chef personally oversaw everything... BRAVO to the team... they even brought me extra perfectly roasted hot chestnuts that my dessert came with...

We had not booked in advance, but they were happy to serve us dinner. Ristorante Cavour specializes in local and traditional cuisine, which we like. The starters we had were prepared with love and on the premises. Great flavors! One of the options is to choose meats from the trolley, so I had to try this for my main course. When they came out with the trolley, there was so much to choose from, and they are generous with the amount of meat one can have. Great food and a nice way to serve it, since you don't have to choose, you can have it all! Deserts and coffee were wonderful. We bought a jar of their home made salsa verde, which was too good not to take it home. Service was informal yet polite, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

The whole evening was amazing from start to finish. The wait staff were really attentive and the atmosphere was one of exclusivity and intimacy!The food was beautiful and each dish was described in detail and presented well.This will go down as one of my favourite dining experiences.

I had two dinners in this restaurant favored very much by the locals. The fish menu is extensive. Many proposals for digestive fish menus. Many alternative meat dishes as well. I had fish one evening and meat the second time. Both dishes were flavorsome and cooked with care and pride. The wine list is extensive. Prices normal for Verona. The staff is very knowledgeable, service minded and professional. The premises are old giving an historic pleasant atmosphere.Reservation is recommended during weekends. The restaurant is not difficult to find. 20 minutes walk from the Arena, Piazza Bra. Walk the main street via Pallone towards Ponte Aleardo. Restaurant is to the left down the road via Macello when approaching the bridge.
