Had a nice dinner with friends. Had seared tuna most of us, with asparagus. Also a South African Chardonnay which was somewhat lemony.

Fish shop annex restaurant Schuitemaker offer the best and the freshest fish in Katwijk. An extensive selection to take home as well as a terrific mid-range seafood restaurant under one roof. Seating indoor and outdoor. Also consider their fine dining option which is in beach front restaurant KW106.

A mish mash of everything to decorate, mixed signals on level of quality, service etc. at an average price level. I had coffe and a good conversation, followed by even better cake, more coffee and brighter conversation. What more could one wish for on an average tuesday morning? The place consists of several separate spaces in an old building along the canal, and has a lovely sunny terrace next to the canal as well. We sat inside, next to the fabulous coffee machine. Staff is helpfull, but not overly friendly. At least this one wasn't, but it was early still ;-)
