Residing inside the historic Agassiz Mansion built in 1875, The Dining Room at Castle Hill Inn has been the backdrop of memorable occasions for over a century. The Forbes Four Star restaurant boasts a prix fixe menu showcasing the talents of Chef Lou Ross
We had a party of 5 attend lunch at Castle Inn. The service was disappointing, we had to ask multiple times for things, the waitress was very soft spoken and in the crowded room we were in it was very hard to hear her. There were fruit flies or gnats of some sort I felt we were swatting through the whole lunch, and we were inside. We were not impressed by the food selection, very limited. And some people did not enjoy their meals. The soups were not hot, the flavoring seemed bland especially on the lobster roll. For the price we paid we had far higher expectations. You are clearly paying for the location and view. We had drinks on the lawn after lunch, and that was almost worth the price we paid for the disappointing lunch. I would highly recommend eating somewhere else then going here to enjoy a drink on the lawn, gorgeous setting.

If tater tots and hashbrowns had a baby, you'd call it a spud nugget. I'm a fan! We also enjoyed the black bean soup and the reuben. But it's all really good and people stand in line for it, so don't just take my word for it. You can see the cooks in the back making it happen. We sat up at the bar and were in and out in less than an hour.Reasonable prices, generous portions, they take credit cards, friendly service. Perfect quick lunch.

Meh... nothing special. We went for lunch during the shoulder season. Only 3 other tables. Imagine in peak season this is a mob scene. The plus is the service - friendly and professional. The food was at best OK and certainly not worth jockeying for parking. I imagine the wait is horrendous in the summer and a favorite of tourists. We had a cheeseburger (OK) and Reuben (not a winner). Accompanied by non-descript out-of-the-bag fries.Damages with tip was $42. Many better places nearby for "casual food".

This place is great! No frills, small, and the winter menu is a little small, but everything is cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. We had the pork belly buns, so good we ordered a second round. We had the brussel sprouts and the cauliflower apps - both hit out of the park! We also got two noodle bowls - one chicken and one pork, both amazing. This place is a MUST for anything from a quick bit, date night, to taking the kids (which we had with us). It's BYOB - FYI.

This is set back from the main road amongst some shops. It didn't look that inspiring from the outside but was unexpectedly very good. Inside it was clean and functional. Toilets were very clean. There was a nice display of cakes and a large selection of sandwiches and savoury snacks. The staff were very friendly and the coffee/cakes were good.
