This cafe is as charming as Old Milford. I decided on a daily special- walnut/grape chicken salad on a croissant, and a side of fresh fruit. The food was outstanding, fresh ingredients, delicious fruit, large portions. My daughter enjoyed her Italian sandwich, with a wedge of watermelon. We split an "everything" cookie for dessert: chocolates, nuts and coconut in a heavenly blend. We ate inside, but there are several shaded tables outside, too. The breakfast menu looks equally delicious, and I plan on returning soon. There are many shops to explore after eating. The cafe is only a couple blocks from the Little Miami Bike Trail.
We've gotten food from here a few times since they've opened. With Chick-Ful-A you always know you're getting good chicken but their fries are surprisingly good as well. For a new place we have yet to have a bad experience. It's very easy to get to as they are right off of the I-275 exit.
Where to eat Italian food in Milford: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Our son and his family live in Milford, and since our first visit to Nela's we've become "out of town" regulars--whenever we are in Milford. The pastries are supurb, the excellent sandwiches are served on fresh bread baked in-house and the pizzas (my personal favorite) are fantastic. On our last visit we so enjoyed our lunch on the new back deck!
