Niseko Ramen Kazahana

I went with my partner and two children and arrived around 5.40pm which worked out well because we managed to get a table straight away so it’s worth getting there around opening to guarantee a table. The restaurant is only small, however it’s quite cosy and the food was very good. My partner and I had the Niseko Ramen (had pay extra for meat and eggs) which was awesome and definitely worth getting. The children had clear Ramen which they said was alright but not amazing. I personally think it’s worth a visit, the reason for a drop in the rating was the children saying the food was alright, paying extra for meat and eggs and we felt it was a little on the expensive side. Our bill came to nearly 6000 yen for the four of us. Upon leaving the restaurant around 6.30pm it was getting quite busy, with people and families queuing out the door.

Came here for lunch bc all the options on the mountain were expensive and mediocre. Really great flavours. Husband had chicken with coconut soup and daughter had the meatballs in original soup. Chose 3 for spice but could have done 4-5 I think. Also served with rice which you dunk in the soup. Yum.

Asahikawa Ramen Tozanken

Most of the food in Niseko are generally pricey than other parts of Japan. Therefore, it is nice to find this restaurant serving good value meals. The ramen broth is full of flavour and the servings are generous. The guoza are nicely cooked to crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It is worth the wait even though the food may not be the best in Niseko but it is of good value.

Great lunch menu. We ordered the tempura prawn rice bowl and the deluxe sashimi/seafood rice bowl. Both were phenomenal! We also ordered a tray/box of uni (sea urchin) which was 10,000 yen but it was worth it. Super sweet and no nasty seafood aftertaste like some uni has. We went back the second day because the food and quality was so good! We’re definitely coming back on our next visit!

This place only serves Curry in a funny little venue decked out in industrial timber. You build your menu selecting toppings, content and level of heat. We chose 3 out of 30 and it was plenty hot enough and needed tissues to wipe the brow, so be careful if you go into double digit heat levels. Curry is particular in Japan as it is Indian curry but done in the Japanese style and a common dish in many restaurants. These guys specialise in this dish. The seafood Curry was very good with a large fresh Oyster and Shrimp. It's not the cheapest eatery in town, with most meals 1000 or over.We enjoyed the change from Ramen and would recommend for this reason and the cisy and quirky decor. It's on Route 5 as per the map.
