The Enzianhütte is located in Wahlen (Saint Silvester Valley, in Italian) just north of Toblach (in Italian: Dobbiaco).Itâs a very nice location, nestled in a very pretty side valley.Very professional and efficient waitresses, good food⦠but definitely expensive: 35 euros for a âsimplified Brettljause (typical tyrolean afternoon snack), two wieners with sauerkraut, a glass of Hefe Weizen Bier and a little bottle of water.

We have booked this restaurant during our month of holidays on Alps. Location is very nice with dining rooms very well decorated in typical Tyrolian style. There is also a terrace, a small wellkept garden and a winter garden. We decided for dining indoor. Menu has a very good offer of traditional recipes, fish preparations inclusive. First disappointment was the wine list: simply not exhisting with an offer of few kinds of bottles selected by cepage, but really no choice and no cellar. Service was a bit unprofessional: wine and water were delivered after first course was already served despite that we have requested in advance; cutlery was not promptly replaced, but we had to claim to get clean ones after the first course; table was not cleaned up before dessert service. We had as starter deer salami and porcini mushrooms with artichokes: unfortunately mushrooms and artichokes were served at refrigerator temperature (kitchen failure). One main course was grilled liver which was done at perfection together with exceptional tasty potatoes. Another main course was boiled veal meat with vegetable sauce, which was very good. Top of our meal was dessert: the best tiramisù ever, world class, exceptional and so good. All in all a good restaurant with high potential but in need of urgent actions for service and wine cellar. Price is correct, a bit more expensive than other local options.

Unfortunately in this region English is not widely spoken. Neither are English menu available. It's more confusing because both German and Italian is used . I admit being embarrassed about my lack of linguistic ability but this restaurant in common with many does not try to help with English translations. The waiter was very busy and seemed to be the only person front of house. Food was good especially the mushroom soup and venison goulash ( thanks to Google translate !) although my daughter did not enjoy the dumplings, bad choice rather than badly cooked. Nice atmosphere inside and sure will be a hit during ski season as bar would be ideal après ski venue

Be it summer or winter the Jora hut is truly a magical place. The evenings spent there are relaxing and heart-warming. Service and food is truly cared for.

This place is simply magnificent. It's quite different from other mountain resort and restaurant run by CAI (Club Alpino Italiano). Service is very attentive, careful and friendly. Quality of their offer is very high, but first of all the breathtaking views are absolutely great. Hope to return soon.

The only reason you will know abou this incredible restaurant if you know some local people who live in South Tyrol. The restaurant is set high up in the mountains with spectacle views to look at while you feast on some local, traditional, fresh, exciting and appetizing food. The staff speak English and will help you translate the German/Italian menus. I had the tartar which was just heavenly. They made it in front of you mixing the egg and species and meat into one glorious dish. There was allot of food on our plates and we left feeling very full indeed. The south tyrolian menu is heavy with lots of meat and sauces so don't go overboard in ordering starters and main course. Everything is fresh! Locally sourced and just so delicious. It is a must to eat here but absolutely make a reservation and this place fills up fast.

Small, but very cosy cabin on one of the longest Giant Slalom courses in Südtirol. Nice terrace, good food and drinks. Surprising to see, that exclusively Italians are the ones with the worst ratings. Maybe they should bear in mind, that place they are writing about is NOT located in Italy, but in Südtirol with a completely different culture.

After a nearby hike we wanted a hearty lunch. Big, varied menu. Good pizza choices. Salad bar not particularly big but fresh, would not reorder the salad bar. However, the grilled chicken we had was 3 delicious grilled chicken breasts with big stack of good fries and grilled vegetables, lovely! We had a pizza, thin crust lots of cheese and black olives, quite good. Not high end fine dining but really perfect casual dining. Enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, perfect service, great atmosphere for couples of families.
