Overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Half Moon Bay, California, Sam's Chowder House offers oceanfront dining and delicious seafood. Voted "BEST SEAFOOD" by the locals (Half Moon Bay Review Readers Choice Awards), and by the Bay Area BEST OF THE BAYLIST. Enjoy
We were down in Half Moon Bay for our anniversary, overnight , so decided tol ry the local hangout and we really liked the atmosphere. The food was very good. The lobster was very succulent and the brussels sprouts with pancetta was excellent. The waiter, Jesus, was very congenial and on top of it, and they gave us free desserts that were delicious.. I had the soft serve Sunday, which I really recommend. The view was great and we could walk from our hotel right to it. They have a great deal Tues night at the bar during Happy Hour where you can get oysters for a buck a piece with a drink, that would be a great thing to try in the future. We would definitely go back.

Great seafood - plus much more. Interesting place. Good for leisurely dining and kick-back w/adult beverages. Locals/indigenous-natives provide for terrific people-watching. Been coming here for decades - consistent, always fun.

On the corner and before you get to the Harbor Master.
Wasn't sure the procedure of ordering. Had to order at the counter, then hopefully find a table, place # on the table and wait for food. Was hesitant on ordering before getting a table, but, waited a few minutes, a table cleared and got a table. Had their version of a copping that was good, no crab, but plenty of mussels, 2 big shrimp fish and clams. It would have been nice to have more broth, since they call it a soup. Served in a square bowl that made it hard to use the spoon to get the last drops of soup. Grilled calamari sandwich was a a good thick size, but a little chewy due to over cooking. Nice to get a window seat, otherwise, dark dining room.

The Historic Miramar Beach Restaurant & Bar has a long and colorful history going back more than 70 years. It was originally designed and built as a Prohibition speakeasy to serve the liquor smuggled into the Bay Area through a drop off point on Miramar B
Have been here several times in the past two months. We love the location and view. The food is good however very limited menu for vegetarians or vegans. Outside is dog friendly and enough space between tables to comfortably fit a stroller. Unfortunately we were chased inside by the beesâand there were a couple inside as well. The waiter said that they are episodic, but it sort of spoiled the ambiance.

Where the locals go. Really good food, not just a bunch of batter fried. My Italian seafood was really well done. My wife had the fisherman delight, and it was huge! They have several fresh fish on the menu. You are looking it on the water. They have several desserts. They only take cash, but have an ATM. You won't be disappointed!!
