You wonât find a more traditional Hungarian Tavern (csarda). This establishment has been around forever (400 years). My father, who grew up in GyÃ¶r, remembers coming here as a child and I remember my father bringing us here when we came to visit. I come back every year and nothing has changed. It is still the best restaurant in GyÃ¶r, if not Hungary. Definitely my favourite restaurant in the world. All food is great here but my suggestion is just go straight for the HalÃ¡szlÃ© (Fish Soup). You really wonât be disappointed.

A small but accommodating vegan bistro that offers lunch menu, baked goods and whole foods. The dishes are a healthy remake of Hungarian/Eastern European comfort food. Fresh, tasty and good portions. The location might not be the most pleasant but it's definitely convenient as it's right next to the central bus station. They offer quality coffee and desserts as well. Perfect option for lunch or a quick coffee fix before you hop on a bus somewhere.

Tartalmas, finom leveseket lehet kapni. Szombaton voltunk, amikor a leveskÃnÃ¡lat szÅ±kebb, csak kettÅbÅl lehet vÃ¡lasztani. Mindezt ellensÃºlyozza viszont, hogy zsÃrban sÃ¼lt Ã³riÃ¡s rÃ¡ntott hÃºs Ã©s vÃ¶rÃ¶sborban sÃ¼lt marha oldalast lehetett vÃ¡lasztani. A rÃ¡ntott hÃºs valÃ³ban emberes mÃ©ret (az igaz, hogy jÃ³ vÃ©konyra kopfoltÃ¡k). A hÃ¡zi krumplisalÃ¡ta nagyon Ãzletes volt hozzÃ¡. Mindenkinek ki kell prÃ³bÃ¡lnia egyszer.

They have a very delicious fresh fruit smoothie made with berries, apple, and banana! I went there twice while in Gyor and ordered this both times because I craved fruit. I didn't try anything else because I was very pleased with this. Super nutritious, delicious, and made fresh daily. Also, the staff is very friendly!! I will definitely return the next time I am in Gyor.
