We had plans to eat in another restaurant but it was still closed so we stepped in for aperitivo. We were met by a friendly owner suggesting drinks. We were so hungry that we tried the platter with different types of cold cuts and stracciatella cheese - accompanied by loads of bread bits. The platter got us hooked and we stayed longer for tortellini and torts with sauted greens and porchetta. The restaurant is cosy and very well designed, you can see the chefs working back a display of cold cuts and cheese. The place is rather small but I felt it was a good sign that it suddenly filled up with all local people. Would definitely visit again whenever given a chance.

As a New Yorker and frequent traveler abroad, I have known my fair share of fine dining, so please believe me when I tell you that Galaia City in Cagliari will serve you some of the finest quality, most creative, most beautifully presented and delectable fish dishes you have ever been privileged to taste. Tuna in every shape and form from raw to carbonara to speck; smoked swordfish carpaccio, spaghetti with fresh scampi, lobster and clams...I could go on and on and you will want to. Even their desserts are rare and delicioso - for example Tiramisu with whipped cream, orange liqueur and sweet orange zest in place of the usual chocolate and coffee flavors. Can you tell I wish I were at Galaia City this minute? Their motto is, "...where tuna is king and lobster the queen," but the truth is, their guests are kings and queens of gastronomic satisfaction. They also have meat dishes, but why?

First of all there is nothing wrong with this restaurant and I don't have to complain. If you want to spend a nice evening in an elegant restaurant, then this is the right place for you. Friendly staff, nice ambience and an extensive and impressive wine list. The cuisine is good and competent and the prices are reasonable for what you will get. If you prefer authentic Sardinian food then there are others places inCagliari.

This is an interesting experience. The restaurant has absolutely no ambiance. But it has fresh seafood at a good price. There is only one set menu, and you eat whatever the owner serves you. At 30 euros, you get a large appetizer (with many shellfish), a Fregula in seafood sauce, two baked fish, a dessert and wine. Amazing value. But the cooking is primitive and not refined. You get a huge quantity at a good price. But don't expect gourmet cooking. An interesting experience.
