Discover Restaurants offering the best Soups food in Bristol, Pennsylvania, United States. Bristol is a borough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, 23 miles (37 km) northeast of Center City Philadelphia, opposite Burlington, New Jersey on the Delaware River. Bristol was first incorporated in 1720. After 1834, the town became very important to the development of the American Industrial Revolution as the terminus city of the Delaware Canal providing greater Philadelphia with the days High Tech Anthracite fuels from the Lehigh Canal via Easton. The canal and a short trip on the Delaware also gave the town access to the mineral resources available in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York via each of the Morris Canal, the Delaware and Hudson Canal, and the Delaware and Raritan Canal, and connected the community to those markets and trade from New York City. These were among the factors spurring development of Bristol and nearby towns, explaining in part the industries which developed in the region.

I've driven by this place for 30 years without stopping until being invited for lunch earlier this week. Food was shockingly good. I had the turkey, blt with avocado on croissant. Delicious. One companion had breakfast and one had a ham and cheese and both enjoyed very much. Prices were more than fair. Gonna stop in for breakfast one day soon.

I really love dining in authentic Italian restaurants, & while a portion of our most recent meal was successful, most dishes fell short of expectations. We started with a shared plate of Bruschetta - tasty, but difficult to eat w/ the bread sliced very thin & toasted to melba toast crunch quality. Each bite resulted in wet tomato pieces cascading everywhere but the mouth. The salad was OK - but slightly over-dressed. My husband's Veal Saltimbocca was satisfactory, but he's had far better elsewhere. The penne pasta was very enjoyable - coated nicely in tasty red gravy. I ordered probably one of the single most requested dishes - Veal Parm - &, while the penne was nicely dressed in sauce, the meat portion of the meal came out looking anemic with industrial sliced mozzarella cheese topping the meat - & no colorful sauce to add flavor. I've never seen the dish offered that way before...perhaps someone in the kitchen forgot to give the dish a spoonful of red gravy. While the flavor was OK, the dish was dry. Cesare's would be so convenient for us - just wish it was better.

We have eaten here twice. Both times I noticed a very strong smell of cleaning products when I walked in. It was very unappealling, but I got used to it and then didn't notice it anymore. The servers are pleasant. The food is wonderful. Last visit I got the Pho with roast pork, egg noodles and dumplings. Mushrooms would have been great in this. He got the chicken pho. It was also really good. We got beef Hanoi rolls, the peanut sauce is fabulous, the rice paper wrappers seemed a little tough, but the flavors were good. We will return.
