While taking friends from England round the area we stopped off here for lunch in the cafe. Really good decision as not bad choice of food and from other tables large pieces of cake on offer. Staff friendly and good location, with a walk round the park to finish our visit.

Stumbled across this establishment when we were on our way through Sandgate to get the BFS bus, we were thoroughly impressed with the breakie menu. The eggsbenedict, also the freshly made pancakes an excellent way to start your day, the staff could not have been more helpful, also the toilets which are up the stairs are clean and tidy.Surprised not in the top 10 in Ayr, but when we get home we will certainly return for more.

.We arrived on a very hot sunny day and as we wanted to sit out on the deck by the river we entered straight onto the deck via a disgusting little alley full of stinking bins. Ok maybe we could have walked through the dining area to get there. We had two coffees and two scones £10, I kid you not and wait for it they had run out of fresh milk!!! even though the place is actually attached to a little grocery store they would not buy milk for our coffee. We both had soya milk in our coffees and it was disgusting, we could not drink it. The scones were good but certainly not worth £10. I will never be back. If you have any sense you will give this place a wide berthThis is not true. Of course you can enter our beautiful decking via the restaurant. We advise cyclists and dog walker to use entry via back gate. Our bins are situated in a bin store and are very clean and tidy. Our coffee is priced at a very competitive £2.20-£2.60 and our scones £2.20 or £2.50 with cream. Both in fact fair if not quite cheap most would agree. We did not run out of milk!! We had gallons of the stuff and have never and will never run out of milk. Ever!If and I mean if you ended up with soya milk then it would have been a genuine mistake though I doubt this actually happened at all! Completely untrue!

We spend about a week every month in Ayr, and in the past couple of years, usually eat at the Waterfront at least once during those weeks. The food is good, but it seems obvious to us that management has slipped over the past 6 months or so. If you book a table - donât expect to get what you asked for! Service some days is poor - because they are clearly understaffed for the numbers. We always book - but suspect many do not, and the staff are caught unawares. Also - in hot weather, low ceiling means the restaurant is very stuffy inside. Menu usually changes regularly - but has been the same all summer - and frankly - not really what I want, so has become a bit boring.

Went for Lunch with my daughter, we were seated straight away, I ordered Macaroni with chips and salad my daughter had the special some sort of panini or wrap with chips. We were both very hungry. Service was very quick, Macaroni had obviously been blasted through the microwave as it was hot round the edges and only slightly warm in the middle chips were not very warm and had obviously been sitting a while, my daughters chips were the same it was very disappointing. Thanks for your review. I do hope you had made your complaint known to the staff. If you had they wouldâve corrected this straight away. It is not in any of our interests to have any customer leaving our premises unhappy. We are only human and mistakes sometimes happen unfortunately. We would have corrected it and apologised to you if we had known about it at the time. Our apologies once again for this sub-standard service. I do hope this has not put you off from trying us again.
