Find out what Soups restaurants to try in Asiago. Asiago (Italian: [aˈzjaːɡo]; Cimbrian: Slege, German: Schlägen [ˈʃlɛːɡn̩]) is the name of both a major Italian PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) cheese and a minor township (population roughly 6,500) in the surrounding plateau region (the Altopiano di Asiago or Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, Asiago plateau) in the Province of Vicenza in the Veneto region of Northeastern Italy. It is near the border between the Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol regions in the foothills of the Alps, and about equidistant (60 km) from the major cities of Trento to the west and Vicenza to the south. The Asiago region is the origin of Asiago cheese. The town was the site of a major battle between Austrian and Italian forces on the Alpine Front of World War I. It is a major ski resort destination as well as the site of the Astrophysical Observatory of Asiago, operated by the University of Padua.

Deserved number one spot in Asiago for this restaurant that will make you puzzled looking at it from the outside. Humble exteriors but once you walk through the door you just know it will be a great dining experience. Extraordinary customer care for a country like Italy where you might get treated like a nuisance in some places: here you are spoiled by the waiters who will take care of all your needs. The meats are cooked on a fireplace locaated at the back of the room (few seats, reserving is a must) and the cold meats are cut fresh in front of you. The dishes combine the local traditions with the experiment and presentation you expect in a top restaurant. Lovely desserts too. The bill comes at around 50⬠per head including drinks and tip, we had starters (antipasti), main course, dessert, coffee and liquers (on the house). The only price I found a bit steep was the antipasti (21⬠each), everything else I woud say it's correctly priced. Very good all around dining experience.

Bar Ristorante - Cucina Italiana e tipica di montagna - Aperto estate e inverno tutti i giorni / primavera autunno dal giovedì alla domenica.
I've been here with my boyfriend at midday on Tuesday and the venue is really cosy. The atmosphere brings you back in time because there are wood ski hanging from the roof. Everything is made in wood and the chairs are covered with cow's skin. The food is just supertasty and very well presented. I personally recommend canederli with butter, sage and speck accompanied by rabosello wine. At the end we've been offered a dessert which consisted in pastries with a creamy heart. Our lunch was simply delicious and the mountains around are enchanting. We were walking to the top of Cima Portule.Dear client, thank you for your kind review. Weâre very glad that you enjoyed our food and our surroundings. Best regards!

I have visited Locanda Aurora on a rainy Sunday and was fascinated by the warm atmosphere I have encountered here .It is an hive for the good food lovers. I have also learnt that the great Italian director Ermanno Olmi has been honoring this hive for a long decade. You feel the difference par excellence.Hakan BaturGrazie mille per la sua splendida recensione alla prossima sua visita in Italia saremo lieti di ospitarla nel nostro alveare
