We chose this restaurant because we wanted to have dinner with a view of the lake, and the staff promptly selected a table upstairs in front of the window. Upstairs they also have an outside terrace (covered, in case of rain), while the terrace downstairs has less of a view, but still with no car traffic in front of it. The staff was attentive and efficient (other than the usual delay in getting the bill: a good Italian restaurant would typically consider rude to bring it too soon and upon asking for it only once), and the background music had the right volume (we could hear it, but did not need to shout at each other in order to have a dinner conversation). We both had fish, first course (spaghetti allo scoglio and tagliatelle al ragu' del lago) and second (frittura di calamari and branzino al sale), all very good. With a nice local Franciacorta sparkling wine (Facchetti Brut) and sorbetto we paid ⬠95 in two - they also have pizza and meat dishes, and local wines which can make for a more gentle bill. I would go back, and would be curious to try the pizza (which I understand is good).

We chanced upon this restaurant wandering the back streets and, being lunch time and hungry, were struck by the good looking menu. Inside a very friendly waitress greeted us and served some of the best pizzas ever. They arrived promptly and were extremely light and tasty. If you only have one pizza on your Italian visit, make it here.

A proper family-run restaurant amongst the pizzerias. Excellent for fish with a wide selection of wines, some of which are from the region. We ate here twice, once outside on the piazza and once inside in the stylish restaurant; being a Saturday, it was packed, predominantly with Italians, with a great atmosphere. The service was first class and the owner very friendly, especially after we told him we liked grappa! His wife was friendly too, also the son who was the chef. The price was reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the service. I definitely recommend this restaurant, particularly for a special occasion.

We visited this restaurant during our wonderful, scenic day-hike "Natura del Sebino" and felt slightly underdressed. The vibe is rather fancy and the service highly attentive and very professional. The food was good but not outstanding. The menu featured local, seasonal products like the Wild Boar ragout with Polenta or the Assortment of Lake fishes. The help-yourself homemade digestif at the end and Seniora Rita's farewell rounded off this very pleasant experience.I recommend to come during day-light to take full advantage of the view. When you reserve, ask for a table close to the window. Make sure to step out on the balcony in between the courses to take in the view that is truly unparalleled from what I've seen so far!

We had a lovely dinner here. Since it is located right near the marina, the view is superb. The staff is very helpful although their English is limited. The food is exceptional and the setting is lovely. We spent 100 euro on a dinner for 2 (we had only a half bottle of wine). It is on the high side of things, but the food is prepared with great care and the service is excellent.

Zu is tucked away by the side of the winding road on the western shore of Lake Iseo. Blink and you will miss the entrance which is a pity because the views from the restaurant are spectacular as is the food, with fish being their specialty. Very friendly and helpful service and a fairly priced and diverse menu make this an absolute must for visitors to Lake Iseo. We loved it.

Very nice restaurant/hotel situated in a small village sitting well above Riva di Solto. Appears to be frequented by locals and their families for Sunday lunch. Nice selection of locally inspired ingredients and wines. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Views are tremendous from anyplace inside the restaurant. If you are planning to walk up from the shoreline it is not very far but it is a very steep climb.Thank's a lot for beautiful words;I hope to see you soon!Sergio Polini

First about positives...Great location, restaurant is nice and clean, friendly service and menu in english is appreaciated. Extensive mlwine list with great selection of local wine. I found as well that size of portion just about right, so you can enjoy full menu. Plenty of local fish to choose from but there is as well an alternatived to try. From the negatives. Serving on black slades is outdated and goes back good 7-10 years. With variety of colours in Italian food serving on black plates actually lets the presentation down. I found meals too simple for the price tag. Lobster ravioli were quite dry and lack souce. Gnocci with creame sauce lacked Italian flavours even so were accurately made. Fish (perch) was way to simple for the price. Overall prices are on average 40% higher then should be. I think its a competition between the next door that does not do a favour to both restaurants. Deserts were good. However, one thing to point out too much French influence in most of the dishes, why??? Please change music, its completely intollerable.

We had lunch here during our meeting with partner schools, after walking uphill we arrived at a lace with a great view and they seated us in the upper room of the restaurant, overlooking the area. They served us a risotto with courgettes, for me the best risotto I have ever had, creamy, light and tasteful. The other food we had was also of excellent standard. When I'm around Pisogne again I definitely will eat here again.
