Reviews on Seafood food in Zagreb, Central Croatia, Croatia. Zagreb got its start as two medieval fortress towns atop hills overlooking the Sava River, and was reborn in the Baroque period as center of business, perfectly located on routes connecting Central Europe to the Adriatic Sea. These days, Zagreb is the heart of contemporary Croatia’s culture, art, sports, and academics, but its history is not forgotten. The unique blend of medieval towers, 19th century palaces, open-air markets, and ancient cathedrals, make Zagreb the perfect city to explore.

One of the oldest restaurants in Zagreb with 37 year tradition, located in the heart of Zagreb. Restaurant's cousine is based on local fresh ingredients.
Very big portions. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly, with a nice selection of sauces. Pork fillet was done well and came with good mash. The strukli (for starter) was a bit bland and there was far too much. It was boiled as opposed to baked which made for a stodgy texture.Red wine was very good, helpful recommendations. Service was excellent, cosy and warm interiors and a very relaxing meal. Surprised by the final bill - for three courses and drinks came to kn 510.00. For the setting and quality of food, it was good value.

Nice and intimate restaurant ideal for couple dinners.
Excellent food and personal service - the owner comes to your table, explains the menu, very knowledgeable, fantastic local foods. Everything we tried (group of 13) was exceptional. One person had a steak, and they said it was definitely in the top 5 steaks he ever tried. Food arrived quickly, every item was fresh (we had some fish, and it was marvelous). Save some room for deserts, they are outstanding! I will be definitely returning.

I just wanted to write my review, but how????
The waiter recommended typical regional entrées and my wife chose for the main course Sea Bass and I chose grilled salmon. It was cooked to perfection with grilled vegetables and the famous Croatian side dish consisting of a mixture of mashed potatoes and chard. Our waiter took the time to suggest typical and local dishes that they prepare at this restaurant. We always try, when we travel, to order and taste the food the country or region is renowned for.

Asian Fusion Restaurant in the heart of the city with a complimentary American style bar that serves cocktails and premium spirits.
Food was quite nice and delicious but the service was not quite on spot... Overall, it was not great, not terrible. I will probably return to this place next time I visit Zagreb. I hope next time everything will be perfect.

First japanese restaurant in Zagreb! After 15 years we moved from nova ves in to the cenetr of Zagreb, to Masarykova 22! Come and visit us, and discover magic of world-class Japanese cuisine!
Well... This is very hard restaurant to evaluate and review to write. This restaurant is in very good spot, nice interior, staff very good and attentive. But food... food was bland, flat, flavourless. Only the sauces gave something of a taste to food. But not enough for me. My family was satisfied and enjoyed so I am not sure if the problem was maybe my lack of the appetite for Japanese food. Or not? Try and see for yourself! For that price and recommendations I was expecting more. But I must allow the possibility that the problem is me.

On our first day in Zagreb we were looking for an authentic fish restaurant. This restaurant did not disappoint. The waiter was very friendly and explained the menu choices. He recommended the Adriatic Tuna as well as the snapper and thats what we ordered. The tuna was particularly good. The waiter also recommended a Chardonnay which was delicious.

What a great restaurant!! The food and service were fantastic. I would highly recommend a visit. The waiter went above and beyond. The black pasta with truffle was amazing. The sea bream was perfectly prepared and served. The chocolate cake at the end finished off the meal with just the right amount of sweet.

Not only was the service excellent but so were all the vegetarian specialties recommended. The Croatian red wine suggested by the waiter went well with the meal. Parking was right outside the restaurant and the price was reasonable. Music was a little formulaic and could have been lower for our taste but we enjoyed our evening.Thank you Anje123 for this amazing 5 star review. We are glad that you enjoy everythink. Music is like that so people can talk normaly to each other and dont hear others :) Please come to us again.
