I have passed many times and decided on a leisure Sunday morning to pop in for breakfast.A large space with tables along the window. The waitress was friendly and efficient. I ordered the 3 egg omelet with fresh vegetables inside the omelet and best of all real cheese. Breakfast also came with toast and home fries. The coffee was okay but an upgrade to a better brand would be nice Home fries were good but were saltyNext time I will ask for no salt. I can see coming back again.
Just opened, this spot, in Sandford, with a great view of the Gulf of Maine, is in an old church hall. The owners have filled it with comfortable tables and chairs an lots of nautical kitsch. We arrived in the middle of a power blackout. They had a generator running and candlelit tables. Talk about dedication! Four of us ordered so we had a good cross section of the menu. They aren't licensed but you can bring your own. I had a Spring mixed salad with homemade balsamic dressing and Lobster Mac & Cheese. A beautiful salad and lots of lobster in the Mac & Cheese. For desert I had the hot fudge brownie with ice cream. Oh so good! Friends had the cranberry bread pudding which was also amazing. All in all a place well worth the visit.

This small establishment is part of the old lightkeeper's house at Cape Forchu Lightstation. It is in its sixth week of operation. Co-operated by two local restauranteurs with established eateries elsewhere in the community. Small indoor seating area and several tables outside including one in the leeward side of the lighthouse which probably commands the best view. Menu is limited to three seafood selections, sandwiches, hotdogs/sausages, sides and non-alcoholic beverages, with cookies and muffins likely due to the limited kitchen/dining space, but food was excellent. Seafood selection price varies by market value (price of lobster), sandwiches and chowder range from $4.00 - $8.00. Tea and excellent coffee available to take away. Limited hours and can get busy at lunch so you may have to get a take away to eat on the beach/rocks/picnic tables nearby. Well worth a try.

We have made the Windlass a regular stop for fish and chips. Service is prompt and friendly. Fish is fresh and done in a light crispy batter. Out of the back is a view over Kelly's Cove and the Yarmouth Lighthouse that is always changing. Prices are reasonable and portions generous.

Best deal here is fish bites and fries, cheep and good portion. Otherwise it is all pre frozen boxed stuff. ice cream is from Nestle which is odd for a Nova Scotia take out joint. No soft serve. Handy location if out for a walk on the waterfront of Yarmouth and looking for a quick(ish) bite.

One of my fav seafood and pie place of all time...i absolutely LOVE Merns! The owner is so nice and she makes the most amazing pies..they look incredible and taste amazing!! I tool my Albertan boyfriend there during his visit..he asked the owner about her smoked salmon and egg sauce as he had never heard of egg sauce before. Next thing we knew..she brought out a generous sample side for him to try and he loved it and all the other food he tried.Fav place for clams still...Cannot wait till summer to go back!

Local home cooked Canadian fare, including excellent seafood chowder and fish. They are modifying/modernizing their menu somewhat, with some sad results. Most notably the mile high meringue pies are not made regularly, and the "shorter" version of the lemon is too rubbery - almost tastes packaged....

The proprietor of the B&B motel, Matthew suggested this restaurant which was in walking distance from where we were staying. We drove in on a motorcycle and did not feel like getting back on the bike. We were not disappointed. We considered the other TripAdvisor high rated restaurant within walking distance meal but opted to stay here once we walked in and saw how nice the atmosphere was and how varied the food menu was. The service was very efficient, much better than any of the places that we have been while we have been touring Canada. They have a lot of Italian food seafood salads and desserts. My husband and I eat fairly simply so we just had a Greek salad and the chicken dish which was delicious. Everything is freshly cooked. Good prices as well. Highly recommend trying this place out. We learned that this is open year-round.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to try this restaurant on our day trip to Yarmouth. The place is fairly good sized, with an assortment of booths and tables. The menu is large, with everything from seafood, to sandwiches, soups to all day breakfasts. It took us awhile to decide what to order! We were surprised at the variety and pleased at the prices. One ordered a hamburger, with a side of coleslaw.. one ordered a turkey salad sandwich, one ordered the haddock and scallops platter and one ordered the Captain's platter which was huge!! For $23 the Captain's platter came with haddock, scallops and clams as well as small dish of creamed lobster. Seriously. we would go back for the creamed lobster alone!!We were all very pleased with the quality and quantity of food. The fried items were not greasy, the batter was light, and the seafood was fresh. This will be our go-to restaurant in Yarmouth from now on.Lunch for 4 was approximately $60 and we were all very happy.
