Find out what Seafood restaurants to try in Yachats. Yachats (/ˈjɑːhɑːts/ YAH-hahts) is a small coastal city in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. According to Oregon Geographic Names, the name comes from the Siletz language, and means "dark water at the foot of the mountain". There is a range of differing etymologies, however. William Bright says the name comes from the Alsea placename yáx̣ayk (IPA: /ˈjaχajkʲ/). At the 2010 census, the city's population was 690. In 2007, Budget Travel magazine named Yachats one of the "Ten Coolest Small Towns of the U.S.A.", and Yachats was chosen among the top 10 U.S. up-and-coming vacation destinations by Virtualtourist. In 2011, Arthur Frommer, founder of Frommer's Travel Guides, listed Yachats number seven among his ten favorite vacation destinations in the world.

I'm as biased as can be. I love going to this restaurant. Not sure about some of the poor reviews they must have had a bad day for sure. We go frequently whenever we are in Yachats about once a month. I love the fish and chips-cod is my own personal favorite. The service everytime has been casual, friendly and efficient. While I miss the toast that used to accompany the fish and chips I think the portions are bountiful. Looking forward to our next visit.

The restaurant is busy every evening in small-town Yachats. It is located on Highway 101 among a grouping of fantastic eateries. The interior is small, but there is a larger seating area behind the front dining room. Great for all ages. Great attention to sea foods, and meats, and salads.

We will be staying open through the Winter season this year! Ona Restaurant & Lounge focuses on coastal cuisine. We use as many local purveyors as possible and make familiar dishes fun and fresh. Have an appetizer, small plate or an entire entree. The men
Had happy hour and then dinner at this very nice restaurant. Love the crab cakes and the beet salad and the lovely shortcake. Husband had a pasta dish with all types of seafood in it. Wonderful service and the food was delightful. Nicest place in Yachats and we would highly recommend it.l

We visited the restaurant on our last night visiting Yachats. Frankly, we'd indulged in eating and were looking for lighter fare. Adobe's restaurant had it as we filled up on salads and drinks as we watched the sunset. It's spendy, as they say in Oregon. Two of us spent over sixty dollars for our drinks and salads, including the tip and dessert. I didn't mention dessert. It was a wonderful fresh, warm cobbler topped with ice cream, perfect for two.
