I have heard a lot of great things about this place and have had better experiences in the past but was let down on this last function I attended, the food was below average, expectations let down. The gravy tasted like coffee, they said they put coffee in the pork Juis. I like to drive coffee not eat it. The ceasar salad tasted strong with mayonnaise like they mixed mayo with Cesar flavour. I expected to have a house Caesar. The water tasted salty, I understand that itâs golf course well water but at a function I would expect bottled water, or fresh water cooler, most at our table never drank water some had to purchase, the food was pretty dry the selection was plain nothing exciting, we hear lots of weddings booked here but I think we will look elsewhere for a better venue. The potato salad tasted too sweet, too much relish, many were excited but didnât eat after tasting it. I wonât recommend for function to anyone itâs comparable to best western function we had two years ago. Both 90s style lacking creativity. Still donât get the coffee in the pork sauce who comes up with this stuff. I ate before at the restaurant for regular service the burgers are pretty good. But I donât find this restaurant anything amazing and find these past reviews misleading and was really looking forward to dinner but let down. will be looking for catering elsewhere in the future.2/5Hi Gemma, Thank you for taking the time to review our facility. We take all reviews very seriously & are disappointed to read that we didn't meet your expectations. I'm aware of the function you attended as there were actually two functions booked over two consecutive Sunday's for this company. The function you attended was on Dec 9th, yet you reviewed us on Jan 13th. I'm wondering why it'd take over a month to post a review if you were that unhappy with your experience? We would've appreciated the opportunity to have dealt with it in a more timely manner as we want all guests to leave satisfied. I'd like to make mention that the person in charge of the function, that planned the menu, placed the order & co-ordinated the entire event specifically asked for "plain" food. We were instructed to serve "plain" rice, vegetables, well done beef & pork for this group. Firstly our Caesar salad dressing is made in house as are all of our dressings & sauces & always will be. There is absolutely no "mayo" in this dressing. We get a lot of compliments on our Caesar salad & it is one of our biggest sellers. We're sorry to hear that you didn't care for it. Secondly, just to be clear there is no coffee in our jus, we use reduced espresso in the bacon jam that is served with the roasted pork loin. Our Chef that carved this event made mention of this but probably should've described it a little more clearly, again our apologies. As for the water issue, we have a vast selection of bottled water, pop, juices etc available for purchase should you have chosen to do so. Bottled beverages are not included in any function unless it is a host bar, where the convenor pays for the entire bill. This function was a cash bar, where all were guests are responsible for purchasing their own drinks. As mentioned we take all reviews & customer complaints extremely seriously, we love our facility & are proud of what we bring to the community. I appreciate you taking the time to review the experience you had at your companies Christmas Party & sincerely hope to see you back in the future. Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions or if I can provide any further information.Sincerely,Chef Jesse Chambers

The owner is hard working, friendly and knows her stuff. If you want fish and chips to eat in store or to go, you can get that here. I think their best part is the fresh fish that is available for purchase. They get a new delivery every week. You wont' be disappointed!
