"Waco's home for good food, wine and conversation." Serving unique dishes to satisfy every palate. From Fresh Seafood to Beef Tenderloin, there truly is something for everyone. Full bar with Specialty Cocktails to great wine selections. Hours of Operation
We got there late and were informed we needed to order quickly. We did so but the server was also trying to up sell us on appetizers. The flaming cheese was kind of interesting but that was as good as it got. The halibut I ordered was not tasty. It was a thick, flaky piece of fish but it tasted like metal. The sea bass did appear to be better. The service does not deliver for the price point of the restaurant. Definitely a poor value for the upscale dining price charged. We are sorry that your dining experience was not good. We do close at 10pm and the kitchen closes at 9:30pm. We apologize that you felt rushed and both of your entrees were less than satisfying. We do pride ourselves in bringing in fresh seafood that is flown into Dallas and then brought to 1424 on ice. We do want you to enjoy your choices and wish that it was brought to our attention sooner so we could have fixed the problem on that day.

Great news if you like Poke'... Waco has it's first Poke' Restaurant. If you don't know what Poke' is, think a generous portion of Sushi served in a bowl instead of seaweed wrap. J-Petal lists asian style ice cream first, but their Poke' is the best. You can build your own, selecting from different ingredient groups: protien - salmon, tuna, crab, etc; rice - brown or sticky white; multiple sauces; veggies from cucumber, onions, seaweed, etc.. All can be eaten with a fork for chop sticks. Also easy to grab and go. Very fresh. Owners are friendly and eager to please in simple but functional decor. If you are tired of Tacos and BBQ, give it a try!

This location was originally Krispy Fried Chicken and was known for serving Waco's best fried chicken. In mid 2016 it was reborn as Cajun Craft. Still serving Waco's best fried chicken along with new southern favorites like po'boys and gumbo. Located just
Cajun Craft is a little restaurant tucked away on Clay Ave. It is in the old Krispy Chicken building. The new folks have totally updated the place with two seating areas for diners inside and one area for patio dining. Order at the counter, then they bring food to you. Very friendly folks. Menu leans toward Cajun foods, although they have some Vietnamese food as well. Boudin balls were awesome, very crispy and tasty. I had Cajun chicken tender basket (4 tenders, fries and a roll) for $9. Hubby had seafood platter (oysters, shrimp, catfish, fries, hushpuppies) for $15. Food was served hot, generous portions. The coating on the chicken and the seafood was crispy and light. They also have oysters on half shell, but we were just too full! Will definitely return! Thanks for your detailed review. If you havenât came back for oysters on the half shelf yet, you must. We wouldnât serve you anything we wouldnât eat ourselves, the freshest. Weâre happy to see you two enjoy your dishes. Please come back and see us anytime. And make room for oysters! See you next time.

Really cool place! Food was excellent. Striped bass was fresh caught and delicious. Shrimp was amazing. Appetizers were great, and I love hush puppies! Service was spot on. The blackberry pineapple marguerita might be a little pricey, but OMG so good! Loved the outside deck right on the water. Gorgeous view. We will be back!

Enjoyed a great meal here while spending a few days for our anniversary, in the Waco area. Good steak, terrific chicken roulade, delicious risotto & a complimentary & perfectly prepared creme brulee for dessert...all in a lovely atmosphere with wonderful responsive but not intrusive service throughout...what's not to like?

Took out lunch from this location. Had three vegetables with a side salad. All the vegetables were tasty, and the salad was simple, but fresh. I had the chargrilled chicken wings, with a blue cheese dipping sauce. Delicious.
